Rogue heroics - how to multitask.

Hey guys I have a simple question (I'm dreading to say a noobish one) about heroics. Now it's all speedruns and 10 min dungeons, and all that matters is getting to the last boss asap, and more and more I keep finding myself lagging behind the rest of the guys in my party. Bosses are not a problem, as you usually get enough time to re-stealth and open properly, get your stuff going, but trash is where I fail miserably. How do you guys do it? I often run with other rogues and kitties who don't seem to have these problems (at least from Recount point of view). I run a muti setup, only t7-ish so no ruptureless for me yet. I pull around 3-4k on bosses and about 1.8-2k on usual trash.
Can somebody advise? Or post a helpful rotation? Much obliged.

Rupturing in speedruns is no point. Waste of GCD, energy and combo.

Posting your armory would really help. Telling us general things about your char wont.

As for thrash. 3+ targets. FoK + autoattack = wins, especially if you have FoK glyphed (i do).
I do way more dps on thrash than on bosses.
On really really large packs i even do Cold Blood Fok (with TnT on tank ofc).

This is my setup for heroics.
I got %^&* gear, mostly ilvl 200 cause PvP is my real goal.

As for restealthing, just spam stealth. Get away from the tank/next target. Sometimes you dont get into combat if you stand far enough.

As for small groups of thrash, what i usually do is an opener (prefer Garrote as i rarely see tanks with DW), HfB, SnD and imidiate Envenom if Ruthlessness procs, if not just Muti once or twice, depending on how much time i got till mob dead/SnD duration.
4+ Envenoms after and its all fine.

I use power auras to track stacks of deadly, combo points, SnD timers, HfB timers, Energy threshholds etc.

PS: 4k on bosses with t7ish is quite fine i think.

This is my armory - I haven't posted it before as I didn't want to turn this topic into 'should I be doing more dps with this setup' just looking for general tips like the ones you have posted (cheers btw I can already see a few things changing in my trash rotation). Also I do realise trash dps doesn't really matter etc. but as I said the topic is about hc speedruns where I think every little helps. I don't want to be doing less dmg than the tank as is very often the case in these runs nowadays.

Finding a way to work fleet footed in there or one of the passive boot speed enchants will probably help more than alot of stuff here. I would just take points from blood spatter** and stick them in FF and start playing rupture-less like everyone else. As its been stated already, rupture is a clunky mechanic in instances where due to inflated gear bosses go down in secconds anyhow. This would even allow for the glyphing of fok, another damage booster, which for heroics isnt necessarily a poor choice or frowned upon.

Casting FoK during an envenom (de)buff is also a decent way to milk out some extra dps if it is convenient.

Flask of the North from alchy should help soon, and macro lifebloom from herbalism to evasion for when you have to evasion tank.

** this may make a 51-18-2 spec more viable dpswise but for heroics imo comfort > min maxing.
It is a very frusterating feeling running these when everyone else feels 2 steps ahead and they are all in plate and heavy armor while smashing mobs up before you even get in combat.

Thanks again for your advice - I will look into getting a second spec just for quick 5mans with the FoK glyph to see if it helps with my rotation. Once I have enough badges for 2xt9 hopefully my situation will improve a little bit.

And as for speccing combat - I don't currently own any swords which is kind of a show stopper for me - no luck with the new dungeons just yet.

I understand the rogue is not exactly geared so I shouldn't be expecting to top charts (and don't get me wrong - I'm not). I'm just looking for a way to improve my experience and that of others in my group. We all know there's always somebody doing 1k dps while others are pulling 5k ;)

So I've managed to update my WD to http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50319 which finally warrants a zerker so my Rondel will go to OH. I hope to replace it fairly quickly as well as this dagger seems to drop a fair amount when I'm on other chars.

I have completely dropped Rup from my rotation doing 4p Env instead and FoK with Env buff as well (while keeping SnD up) and it seems to work quite well. I'll update my spec to reflect this as well and see how I go.

I have also purchased some AP/Haste gems to get to some sort of arrangement with them as atm they seem to be all over the place. All that is a problem now is aggro pulling sometimes but I'm used to that from playing casters.

I also use Power Auras and have done so for a long time with great success, also I have found Opie to be a great key-space saver with a very sleek design.
