Why do you start of with Ambush, isn't Rupture the most damage ability in the long run?
Anyhow, swapping weapons will trigger a GCD. That's usually not a good thing, I'll leave the macro crafting for the others.

Not to be trollin, but if you only use Ambush while farming. Then the fact that you have a dagger in main-hand shouldn't be that big deal.

I know you're asking about a macro, but there also seems to be a question of guidance. You might consider posting this in the Rogue forums instead.

To answer the original question and completely disregard whether it's a good idea in the first place... ;)
Turn on the equipment manager in the options, and make two different equipment sets for the weapons you want. I set mine up for fishing, so my characters can equip a fishing pole or their main weapons with a single button for each. I'll use this as my example setup.
For fishing, I equipped the fishing pole, and created the equipment set to ignore all slots except the fishing pole. I named the set "fishing." And similarly, for the main weapon set, ignore all slots except the equipped weapons. I called that "main" (I started calling it "swords" or "bow" or whatever was appropriate to the character, but I want to use the same macro on all characters, so a more generic term was useful).
I created two macros:
#showtooltip
/equipset fishing
and
#showtooltip
/equipset main
Set those to two action bar buttons, and poof. Instant weapon switching. It's particularly convenient with characters that use a one handed weapon and an offhand, or a dual wielding character.
You could also just make one macro. I don't know the exact syntax, but setting it up so that if you alt-click on a button, you get fishing, and if you normal click you get the main weapon set.
