I didn't know if this should go in wow general or randomness if this is in the wrong spot please move it
SO basically my friend told me to make an account on it for benefits however I had to log before he explained the benefits and I just saw armory linked to facebook
so I made an account but I'm curious what can I gain from this I know theres been talk to a GM day type stuff but do I get automated e-mails when theres a blog on wowhead or an mmochampion update or something like that or what never used these sites before
long story short what do I gain as far as WoW in concerned

Benefits? No benefits, other than another place to be "wowheady".
If you're talking about the wow armory -> facebook connection, it's just another way for you to show off your 1337 chars and achieves. Still no benefits. Except the ever increasing size of your e-peen. Not sure if that can be viewed as a benefit however...
