OP, if spreadsheet says it's a dps decrease, why would you consider it?
The reason for the disparity between your actual and theoretical dps lies between your keyboard and chair, aka you.
Also, you might not be running with the full compliment of buffs that the spreadsheet reflects by default. Make adjustments accordingly and then check the results.

I have yet to see every possible buff, even in a 25 man. Currently, my spreadsheet tells me I should be doing 9957 dps, but do about 8500 on Saurfang. We hit heroism at the start of the fight though, an with a speed pot, I peak at about 11k dps, but by the end of the fight, I am sitting at about 8500.
I find the two biggest thinsg that impact my dps is an enh shammy and might/battle shout. If I have an MM hunter in the group (or abom. might, but don't think that's constant, only a proc), that will probably have the next largest impact.
