Nochannel macros...necessary?

^ Topic. Are Nochannel macros necessary for Spriest? (For use with Mind Flay) They seemed more of a hindrance than anything, and they didn't seem to increase my DPS.
I do have Quartz, and I just cast my next spell when I see the bar touch the red area.

Not necessary at all.

With a latency approximation they aren't at all necessary. They are mostly for people who constantly press the button.
