Yeah the topic asks the main question... I am wondering if it would be smarter for me to stay BM or could I go to MM? I and my friend(resto sham) are leveling together, and BM hasn't gone wrong. It's just that I want to try something different. Any suggestions?

Do whatever you want. It's not as if you can't level with another spec, it's just a lot easier in most situations to level BM...

Go with whatever feels right to you. Any of the 3 hunter specs can be good for leveling. A lot does depend on the kind of gear you have. BM tends to work better with the greens you'll be getting as quest rewards.
Personally I was BM until Outlands (level 58) then went MM.
