1) You can't purchase items from the Auction House (neutral or otherwise) that were posted by another character on the same account.
2) Regarding your question - The 'Crafted by' tag remains.

My ally mage has some netherweave bags crafted by my horde toon and it clearly says so on the bags. I had a friend sell the bags for me, as I only had a single account back then..
While server transfer and faction change might erase the "crafted by.." (haven't tested it), doing a name change doesn't erase it. I got fed up with the name of one of my chars and changed it and got a whisper from a friend. I asked how he guessed it was me and he told me that the bags I'd made for him had my new name in "Crafted by..". So much for being incognito, hehe..
