From curse, get MSBT, Mik Scrolling Battle Text. It's a SCT addon that allows you to have a big pop up on your screen that will say ARMY OF THE DEAD READY. and it can play a sound, use whatever font, etc.

I use ClassTimers for my disease/proc tracking, partly because I'm an altoholic and therefore play lots of different classes and have to track lots of different things.
