Why do you get mad at people who don't know their class?

Perhaps they could even implement an additional reward for completing the instance within a particular time limit.
This would be a tricky one to moderate. Badges already come in massive quantities (im looking at you, badge-every-2-mins-oculus) and by definition, the reward would be coming in in large quantities leading to economic bloat.

Because they have taken all that time to get to 80, so they MUST know their class by now?

Forgive me for not liking when my discipline priest healer doesn't use shields when I'm tanking, leading to wipes as he continues his flash heal spam.
Yeah, no thanks. :)

Just a thought. Maybe they could make it additional gold, or a chance at some sort of more rare crafting mat...
Or they could just do it without an extra reward. The key was really to divide up LFD the same way they did with twink/non-twink BGs.
Also, there's really nothing to stop bad/new players from queuing for the fast runs either.
True - but if they did, they'd have no grounds to complain for getting kicked. It would be like a little league player complaining that the Yankees wouldn't sign him - pointless complaints, and then you boot him out of the stadium.

Thats bad.
I exclusively use Greater Heal on my disc priest in heroics, except if there is some other challenge aspect to the run, like a hunter body tanking bosses because the "tank" decides mana breaks are optional and gets himself killed by zerging the boss.

I have to say I was rather irritated by being grouped with a warrior who had the "DPS" icon by his portrait and I am not making this up that joker never broke 700 dps the whole run.
Inspected: he was wearing 90% tank gear. As DPS. I know nothing about warrior specs so I didn't check his talents, but I am going to guess it was equally bad.
He was going on about this being his first 80 so I said, well, here's the thing doing 600 dps at 80 is pretty bad. Maybe look on elitistjerks.com and see if your rotation is off.
Thankfully the rest of the group didn't suck, so we basically 4-manned it. But yeah, it was irritating to see someone not even trying.

Does it? Why? Do you vote kick people for not doing enough DPS? Cause I haven't seen someone been votekicked for that. But I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. There was some guy who @#$%^ed and moaned about my sub 2k DPS even though I was sub 4k GS (he was 5500+)
Lawl >2k dps is bad in any gear (At level 80) My old guild had a 3k minimum in nax when it was the best out there. So people where pulling 3k+ in stuff from heroics and 10nax.
Plus I think the reason is obvious. People dont want to play a game with people who are scrubs and dont help you win (Correct me if I'm wrong but the game is nearly 1000% times more fun if I'm winning rather then losing.)

Would you reccomend sea salt or table salt? =)
Sea salt is superior to table salt in every way.

OP, your DPS is too low, I recommend gemming for more Sea salt.

This game affords everyone to find a place in it. If you don't like to be treated poorly..then don't set yourself up for it. Form a guild or join one and run with familiar people. I never pug..period.
I'm willing to wait for guild members to log on to get my emblems if I have to..no biggie.
Find your place and your pace and you will enjoy this game a whole lot more.

I can understand if they aren't on par with the major end-game content (ICC 10-25, etc.), but if they're running Normals, or even Heroics, since it's become easier for fresh 80's to get geared for Heroics, there's plenty of time for them to learn their class. Berating them, or shouting "LOLNOOBL2P" doesn't help anything (unless it's helping the crier's epeen).

Apparently, you must be uncomfortable where you're sitting. Completely unaware of the fact that I'm purposely hitting the OP's nerves when I see the chance.
L2grasp the meaning of trolling. First time I've ever had to mention it in a while due to complete ignorance from some overly arrogant moron.
Be pround.
Wow, someone who can't spell "proud" calling me ignorant?
I commented on your lack of wit because you weren't being witty, and neither was he. I knew you were trolling, and didn't care less - I called you witless because that's what you were being, not because I was oblivious.
But thanks for playing, and don't collect your $200 when passing go.

If a level 80 has too little DPS to finish the instance in about 30 mins (The generally accepted time BEFORE the cheap 245 gear) then I will kick them. Why? Because I don't want to have to spend 30 minuites teaching someone how to play. There are plenty of ways to learn. If they don't understand how to play correctly, then they're seriously hindering the other four people. I don't want to have to carry them. If they are gearing but they know what they are doing, fine. But if they have no clue what to do and they don't read forums and they don't ask their friends or guildies then I don't need to tell them what to do. Consider this- If somehow you got a level 79 in your heroic who was still CLEARLY doing double the DPS of the level 80, would you keep him in the group? Or this- If someone is doing 500 DPS (which happens more often than not with scrubs), and they aren't the tank or the healer, and everyone else was doing enough DPS, and they had tons of gear but it was all, say, caster gear on a melee player, would you keep them in?

I must have missed it in the 3.3 patch notes where it says using the LFD system is required for heroics...
If heroics are that serious to you, form your own groups or risk being grouped with lesser geared players, or god forbid, someone who is just not that great at this game. As a healer i enjoy getting fresh 80`s or under-skilled players in my groups. It gives me a chance to try and pass on some class knowledge or at least point someone in the right direction.
And about the kicking sub-par dps thing, i've seen alot more elitist's kicked than i have new 80's who are trying and being flamed for it.
