I have decided to make a tree. It looks like a blast to play. But, there are several speccs I found in one of the threads and can't decide which one to choose. Just to give you a little info. I am planning on doing some pvp healing at the beginning. There are two pvp builds, the defensive:

and the offensive/Insect swarm build.

Now my question is, how good is the offensive one in regards to damage? Is it worth it? Or should I just worry about healing?
Thanks

Are you planning to do Arena PvP or Battlegrounds/Wintergrasp?

Just battleground and WG. I did use one of the specs from the tree 101 thread but Im just wondering, do you pretty much only heal as a tree and run off if you get attacked? Thats what I have been doing mostly yesterday, just casting Natures grasp (or whatever is called) and run off. I'm not sure how much damage you do with Wrath, Starfire and Moonfire as balance. So I wonder if its worth trying that offensive spec I original posted.
Btw, I'm having a blast with this. A lot of fun and nice survival!

In WG you can pretty much get away with full resto PvE spec (and PvE gear for that matter) cause there's just so much stuff going on.
In Battlegrounds, you probably want one of the PvP specs (and you definitely want resilience gear). I think the first of those two specs is the more common one, for max healing, because there are plenty of others to pick up the damage. You probably want to still choose whether you're going to stay in caster form and cast a few Moonfires or just go into tree form and heal straight out. If you're going to do the former, you can probably drop Improved Tree of Life. If you're going to do the latter you can probably drop Nature's Reach.
The second spec, that goes deeper into Balance is more of an Arena spec, I think. (And at that point it's a matter to be discussed with your partner(s).) Though if you want to be doing more damage (especially in some of the smaller BGs) you could still do it, it's just sort of a matter of taste.
