Tanking Weapon Help

I have been reading the comments on these three weapons, each is a quest reward. It seems that the overall tanking winner is the mace because of its slow speed and 19 to defense. Which one do you think is the best and why? I don't completely understand which stats are the most important yet and i know these aren't end game items but I think the question would be the same. Here is the
comparison
.

probably as a pure tank weapon, the mace would be. however, i believe i took the axe at the time because i wasn't really worried about maximizing my HS usage, and i like the harder devastates and the expertise from the axe.
either one will be fine as a leveling tank weapon.

I wouldnt be very worried about choice in here, you will be replacing that quite soon.
Just pick whatever looks good.

Personally, I would go mace. But then again, it's all about flavor really.
Also stats you should worry about I believe the Order is Def til cap (540), Expertise til 26 then Stam>Dodge>block>parry. It's in a sticky somewhere. Or someone else will post correcting me, because I am most likely way off (except the Def till 540, I know that is first, and Stam is <3)

at his level (probably mid-70's), he's not worried about "capping" defense (it's not a "cap"-able stat anyway).
and your stat priority is a bit off, actually. dodge and parry are pretty even now, and certainly both better than block for most content. expertise is a threat stat, and so it's not directly comparable to avoidance or EH.
the last one though, "stam is <3"... that i can agree with :)

I know that it will replaced soon, I guess I was curious how you guys come up with your choices. Kind of looking for a crash course in computing and using the stickies that use stat weights. If not I can just keep putting them in wowheads compare tool and then just selecting my weights and going with the number it computes.
The actual items don't matter so much
