Corpse Explosion for PvP?

I'm leveling a DK, and feel like keeping him in the 70-79 pvp bracket for a while (I have several 80s, so I feel no rush to get another) and am wondering about Corpse explode. While casting corpse explode using a dead enemies target seems like a weak amount of damage (

) and not very useful since your enemy has to be standing on a corpse, blowing up my own ghoul pet seems like it could be very useful when chasing down that hunter or mage that is kiting you. If I understand correctly, blowing up your own ghoul pet actually uses this spell (

). Ghoul stun, explode ghoul, and re-summon seems like it could be a very powerful combo. Am I thinking correctly, or just way off?

Feel free to shoot me down, but I think this would be a nice spell for the crowded BGs. AV, Strand, and EOtS. Yeah not the best dmg, but every little bit helps when your mosh pitting lol. Plus with the Desecration slowing effect this can be useful, and you can use player corpses... I think.
