Making a new alt and I have no clue what stats are most important for hunters...
My friend says Agility is #1, but what about #2? #3? etc

Agility -> Sole AP -> Sole Crit -> Intellect
Once you reach level 80 with decent gear Hit Rating & Armor Penetration goes into the lines but I'm not gonna bother explaining that in this post.

For leveling, Agility and AP and most important, followed by crit. Int is good to make sure you don't run out of mana (until Cataclysm, anyway). Int also converts to AP if you get 3/3 Careful Aim.
Hit becomes the most important stat if you're fighting higher level mobs or raiding.
