[rogue] Mutilate calculation

At level 50, I had Mutilate Rank 2, which read as follows:
"Instantly attacks with both weapons for 100% weapon damage plus an additional 65 to 66 with each weapon. Damage is increased by 20% against Poisoned targets. Awards 2 combo points."
I'm carrying a pair of Balanced Heart Seekers (42-79 damage @ 50). By time I hit 51, I had landed 136 non-crit mutilates, for an average of 119 damage. My AP was 543. Considering that 60.5 is the average of 42-79, and factoring OH being gimped, I come up with a projected:
(60.5 + (543 / 14 ) * 1.7 + 65) + ((60.5 + (543 / 14 ) * 1.7) * .5 + 66) = 287.9
At this same time, my Ambushes were hitting for approx 25% less than projected. For this, I'll assume that during this level, I was up against an average mob mitigation of 25%. This means that my Mutilate should've been hitting for about 215.9. It was hitting for 119. This discrepancy is so large, that I know I have to be missing something. Keep in mind too that all of this is assuming a non-poisoned target, and I'd say at least 80-90% of my Mutilates were against a poisoned target.
Please help me understand what I'm missing or doing wrong. As I level, I want to understand which of my moves are doing how much of my damage so I can plan talent points and such accordingly. I enjoy crunching the numbers, but it's clear I'm missing something. Thank you for your time.
What's your in-game source for gathering the data of your mutalite hits?
My best bet would be that whatever source you're using are recording each seperate hit from mutilate when calculating the average.
Using your math.
And against poisoned targets that would land at ~129.
This scenario wouldn't be surprising since i think that is how it's reflected in the combat log as well.
Well, Recount goes off of the combat log.
I think I've figured it out anyways. When you hit Mutilate, you can see a relatively small yellow number while a sizeable portion of the mobs life gets lopped off. I've come to believe that the combat log reports the bonus damage of Mutilate as Mutilate damage. The 100% per weapon damage is white damage and shows up as melee, not Mutilate.
A) Mutilate is two attacks in the combat log.
Also, the poster above me is wrong.
The problem is what both me and Ippon commented on. Mutilate is two attacks in the combat log, recount will record both attacks as seperate mutilates and give you an average about half of what it'll hit for.
If you look above the mobs when you attack them you'll see two yellow numbers, those are the mutilate hits.
One should be 50% bigger than the other since i'm guessing you havn't gotten to DWS yet.
