Just hit 80 which healing tree should I pick

Hey everyone...like I said I just hit 80 and now I'm gonna heal heroics. I don't know whether to pick disc or holy though...I've looked through the stickies but neither one says which one is easier or better. Please help thank you so much.
Because Disc and Holy aren't comparable. One isn't a generally better tree than the other! It's a matter of what healing role you have, and what you prefer playing.

When I first hit outlands I was holy. A few levels later I switched to disc. I would suggest going disc too. It's very forgiving and being able to keep people shielded gives you a little more reaction time if things get bad. It'll be good for you since you're starting heroics. You shouldn't have nearly as much mana issues, and IMO it's a more forgiving spec with lower level gear as well.

I just dinged 80 on my priest and disc is the way to go imo haha.

He doesn't know what he prefers, that's why he's asking for help. Why don't you give him real tips and stop wasting his time.
I play holy and once you get down all of the spells that are available to you, it is a very powerful spec.

Why didn't you just give the tip and avoid wasting our time with your comment?
It is impossible to tell what is better between apples and oranges. It's a matter of personal taste.
Also, your tip isn't very useful, the same can be said of any class and any spec. With proper gear and play, both specs can be powerful and effective.
To the OP... Why not try both and see for yourself which one you like best? Also, how good either spec will be will greatly depend on your current gear.
As far as gear is concerned, Holy requires a lot of Spirit, as much Haste as you can get and enough Crit% to proc talents like Surge of Light and Holy Concentration. On the other hand, Disc is all about having high Crit% and Intellect (mana base).
For the playstyle, Disc is a lot about prevention, while Holy is reactive. While, as Disc, you'll be shielding most of the damage, effectively preventing it from even happening, as Holy, you'll have tools powerful enough to let damage happen and have the entire group recover from it in a matter of seconds. In raid settings, if that's your objective, Disc generally either heals tanks, shield raid, spot heal or a mix of those, depending on the other healers, using mostly Power Word: Shield, Penance, Prayer of Mending and Flash Heal, as well as benefiting from many buffs directly related to PW:S, like Borrowed Time or Renewed Hope, while also generating extra shield with Critical heals, through the Divine Aegis talent. Meanwhile, Holy is generally assigned to raid heals, throwing Prayer of Healing, Circle of Healing, Prayer of Mending and Flash Heal (including Surge of Light procs) around like candy on Halloween, the Serendipity talent and high Haste level on gear plays a great role on a Holy Priest's potential for throughput.
As I've said, no one can tell you which you will enjoy the most. If you really want to ask someone else to pick for you, ask your guildies, chances are they'd need either one more than the other, but then again, you can't go wrong if dual-speccing into both.
