Teams for Pally and Mage

I'm brand new to PvP, and I need some help with how to start with season 8. I currently play a Pally and a Mage and I want to know the best teams for 2v2, 3v3, and maybe even 5v5. My only PvP gear is from VoA and I have no idea where to start with gear. So can someone please help me with talent build, team build, and gear to start with.

For 2v2 I say Retadin+Unholy DK. Add a Resto shammy for 3s
Check the pally stickies for Specs. Im not sure if they'll have info bout what gear, but im sure the stickies will be lots of help
Mages 2v2 i say duo DPS team. I had an idea for a Frost DK Arcane amge, but Im thinkin that Frost would work better.

frost for your mage, holy for your pally
try and get a disc priest to run with your mage and a arms warrior to run with your pally
as hospy said, farm BGs/wg for honor gear
you really dont want to run double dps, you SURE as hell dont want to run double DPS with a DK of any type

there is a video for every comp under the sun, linking one doesn't make a comp any less terrible
especially
when you link a video from s5 when burst was batshit crazy, and DKs and retadins were terribly OP
that video is far from relevant and terrible evidence of a viable comp

Shad you seem to think that your opinion is the only one that makes any kind of sense. Yeah many of my posts have been trump, and bad by you and others, but that dont make my opinion wrong. Whether they are OP than or now, it shows that the comp has potential.
Ive not given alot of support to back my words in other posts and this time I have. Whether its old, revised, or new, the link showed the potential of the comp. You may be right that Retadin/ Unholy is weak, but untill you prove me wrong with a link or some kind of viable evidence my point of the comp potential still stands.

double dps itself is dead, the fact that you are suggesting doing it with two broken dps classes makes it even less viable

I believe the challenge was to find one. not my challenge, I was pointing out the ridonculously small representation (seriously this has to be one of the lowest represented comps in game)
Perhaps not competitive, underpowered, or particularly good the general consensus is that something uncompetitive, underpowered, or bad isn't a viable comp
by your logic any comp in game is viable
