Very newbish question here. I am new to Northrend and i am able to take the boat from stormwind and get to Northrend. The area around the borean tundra I am familiar with and have quested the entire area. In using wowheads excellent find upgrade feature there is a quest in zul'drak that I want to do to in order to upgrade my sword. Now I am in Borean Tundra, with a horse, do i have to walk all the way to zul'drak to get there? Is that even possible. I see there are ship ports in other places but how do i use them? Any help is appreciated.

Go to menethil Harbour, take boat to Fjord, head north through the Fjord, Grizzly Hills then into ZD... or you know, walk east across Tundra, northeast through Dragonblight and take the entrance into ZD at that point; but if your not 75 yet, don't bother; can't do the Amphitheater of Anguish till that point.

I am level 75. - edit - I didn't go to northrend until late 71, and I do a lot of dungeon running. - edit - I wasn't aware there was a boat in menethil harbor that also takes you to northrend. That does seem like a much shorter walk than from borean tundra. Thank you very much for you quick reply!

If you are "new to Northrend" I take that as freshly 68-70 or very low 70's level.
Yeah, I wouldn't suggest trying stuff in Zul'Drak until 74. None of the quests there will be available to you until then. If you are already 74, you still may need to quest in other areas so your armor will be able to withstand the enemies in Zul'Drak!
