My gear doens't seem to equal my dps

I feel like my gear is not translating into the appropriate dps.

So I might have one or two resto pieces on (not sure if armory updated) but you should be able to get the gist. I'm at 24% crit, 17.8% haste, above the hit cap and have 2583 SP with totem of wrath up. I know I need to switch my glyph out instead of elemental mastery, but right now I'm hovering around 4k dps and I feel like I'm behind.

Many ToC and ICC pugs won't take me because my dps is low but I'm sure I am doing everything right in terms of rotation. My gear is mostly in the 219-232 range with 4 p of T9 which is 10 man toc level right? I just need a few more enchants/gems but that is minimal atm.

I keep flame shock up and lava burst each CD while spamming LB in between. Also using ele mastery when it is up, but my dps feels behind.

Any help or explanations to explain how my gear atm translates into my dps?

Your DPS is on par with your gear and stats.

Gem and enchant your gear properly. You're missing both the shoulder and chest enchant, and several gem slots are empty or contain rare gems.

You are also still wearing two blue items, including your shield.

But don't expect much more than 4k. You are not geared for ICC.

Yup, I'm working on getting the gems/enchants optimized. Right now I haven't seen a single shield drop in the last month and a half of doing heroics (including the new ICC 5 mans) so I haven't had the chance to upgrade it.

So if I, or anyone, was to do heroics and get full t9 from emblems plus a smattering of epics from 5 man toc, and the new 5 mans, would they be ok for ICC or are there more things that you think I would need.

@biffblackstar I have 4p t9 and the Totem of Electrifying Wind in my Ele set, I just switched to heal for randoms.

@spicker: I'm in a guild that is doing ICC 10/25 with one of my friends but they always raid late at night and then do ToC after their normal raids so I never get a chance to run with them. I would rather not leave them, but I might have to in order to get some time in ToC.
