Im looking to try tanking as Im pretty bored with my rogue. I heard warriors blow at AoE threat so they are out. I don't want a DK so I guess that leaves druid and paladin. Out of those 2 which is the easiest to maintain threat with. Also a fun DPS spec would be nice too because once I hit 40 im going dual spec for those times I dont wanna tank would love to throw up some big DPS numbers. Can ret pallies match the DPS of Fury warriors? I have seen them do some sick DPS. Also I would only consider balance as a druid since feral seems too hard but everyone says balance is in a serious need of a buff.

Pally or warrior. Druids and DK are not very friendly to ppl who are new to tanking.
Paladins will keep it easy most of the time, except when you need to pick up groups of 5+ mobs every 8 or less seconds and wars are fun to play (IMO), but will struggle with constant AoE trash (as if when you can only rely on thunderclap, shout and, a bit, cleave).
Ret is fun and easy offspec, and (again IMO) FCFS is A LOT better than rotations ^_^. Can't say much about endgame war DPS, but dual 2h is something I can call "fun" ^^

Paladin is the easiest to learn. Druids a good second tough, with the advantage of not needing 540 defense minimum.
As someone who loves to tank I found that all classes are quite easy to tank with, you just need to know your class.

Good luck with your priest tank! ^.^
I agree, paladin sounds like a great choice. Paladin tanking is fun, and you can choose ret for DPS or holy for tank-healer fun.
Paladin is easier to tank with, and has the best AOE threat with consecrate.
I believe paladin currently has better melee DPS than druid melee DPS. I may have outdated info though. Moonkin DPS is fine, and brings good raid buffs to benefit the entire group.
