Kiting oozes for rotface
Return to board index
So as I'm the only dk tank in my guild it has been dubbed my duty to kite the adds during the Rotface fight. After a bit of practice, and blind luck with the 1/4 room spludges, I've found myself doing alright for a bit, but then he starts getting low on health. I'm not sure if it's an actual mechanic or not, but the oozes seem to be coming faster, either that or the dps/healers aren't paying attention about to the fact that they have the mutated injection until the ooze spawns in the middle of the raid making a second big ooze. I'm honestly not sure which.
My typical bit is to kite the big ooze around the room, hitting it with death coil and howling blast every-so-often to keep healer threat from over taking it (had that happen in the beginning). When someone comes at me with a small ooze, I hit the little one with a Chains of Ice to slow it down and let the big ooze overtake and eat it. I'm also tanking in a clockwise direction, doing my best to avoid the large puddles and the smaller puddles formed throughout the fight. My armory data is in my sig.
My curiosity is whether I need to do something different in order to get the oozes to me better or if the dps need to run in a counterclockwise or actually through the raid in order to get the oozes to me.
The lowest we've gotten him is 1.8 mil before we got over taken by oozes.
Mutated infection increasing in frequence is a mechanic, and we actually had the tank run straight through the big slime spludges (didn't actually hurt that bad).
We ran with 2 healers too (10 man)
