Steady shot question, is a cast time under 1.5sec overkill because of GCD?

Will you ever below 1.5s cap? You need a lot of haste. Haste is bad for hunters. Also, there is almost no haste or so in T10 gear so you will never ever reach the cap, unless enchanted/gemmed at the cost of better stats.

Just for your information everybody...
Steady Shot
has a base cast time of 1.5sec. So saying "Does going under 1.5 is bad" make no sense because as soon as you get 0.01% haste, you will drop under that.

The GCD is one second, and when you blow your rapid-fire cooldown, Bloodlust/heroism, and your haste pot, your cast time will be below one second, but you can only cast steady-shot every one second (since your GCD is not haste-affected). Your auto-shot is affected by haste, but agility, crit, and armor-penetration are more-desired stats for hunters.

Additional haste after clipping your Steadies under GCD is still beneficial for you Autoshot. So dont be afraid of pieces with haste. If you can find some equally good (ilvl) and without it take em, there is a possibility there is eg ArP instead of haste and that will affect more shots than Haste.

- our GCD is 1 sec? (1.5)
- GCD of steady shot? (GCD is GCD, steady shot has its own CD but not its own GCD)
- base steady shot CD is 1.5s? (2.0s)
