My rotation is currently VT-MB-MF-DP-SW:P then just spamming MF and redoting VT and DP. If anyone can help that would be great because I might be doing something wrong or etc. Thanks in Advance.
1 - You're not hit capped.
2 - You're using an intellect trinket.
3 - Your weapon needs upgrading.
4 - You've gemmed SP/Crit where you should be gemming SP/Haste.
5 - From your rotation listed, you're not using MB more than once.
These are all without a detailed look at your character, there may or may not be more issues.

Hitcap is 289 (11%) if you're not Draenei. If you are, then drop down 1%.

6. SW:P at 4 stacks of Shadow Weaving.
5 stacks. VT->MB->MF->DP->SW: P is fine. It's the opening I use.

Perhaps this is such a noobish question to ask, but why do most people put DP so deep into their opening rotation?
Aren't we trying to get off as many hits as possible to maximize damage done? You will have gotten 3 or 4 ticks of damage from DP in the time it would have taken you to get your MF and MB out. Please convert me if I'm wrong!
I usually start with VT (longest cast time, gives me chance for a threat lead).
Followed by DP (initial hit + Ticking damage while I apply other stuff)
Next is MB (to start my CD's rolling to hit it every time properly)
then MF (to get enough stacks of Shadow Weaving up to drop my SWP)
then SWP. At this point, I can cast off two MF's and have my MB ready to go. After getting into MF Casts, it fits EXACTLY to allow me to refresh my VT without skipping a beat, then cast 1 MB, and refresh my DP, again without missing a beat.

Getting DP boosted by a further 10%, on top of all its other multipliers, and waiting 4.5 seconds for the pleasure is worth more than throwing it out early.

Things I see you can do to help your shadow spec; guessing it is your 2nd spec and the reason why some of your gems are not SP/Haste is that you had these before 3.3. No worries - take the gold to swap em out - mine are still not 100% swapped out because of none in the AH..
The 289 hit rating is to not miss on raid bosses, so before you start to raid with this spec, here are some EZ fixes you can do now:
1- Add the +20 hit enchant on your gloves -
precision
; easy fix to get you more hit. Spam for an enchanter to do this in trade channel. Once you get over the 289 cap by 20 points, go back to the SP enchant you have now.
2- Eventually, use your Triumph badges for the new Badge wand (
Brimstone Igniter
); it also has hit on it and will push you over the 289 hit cap. The +int trinket is nice, but there are others that are lower in irating that are better as a SP. Check shadowpriest.com and the message board for the raid gear thread.
3- Use your Ice badges for the new cape -
Volde's cloak
. SP prefer spirit over MP5, but if you heal alot, then its a 50/50, IMO. I took the caster DPS one and still heal ok, but I heal as disc, not holy.
After the hit gets fixed, you will then check your rotation - keep VE on you- I go:
VT- DP- MB- MF x3 ticks - SW:P- then rotate thru on dots and MB.
Hope this helps you melt faces better and have fun!
