GoD doesn't "roll" AP values for diseases anymore making it inferior to GoDD for single target.
Watcha smokin? unholy uses GoIT, GoGh, GoDD since like 3.2.
There was a discussion on EJ blood thread about GoD vs GoDD for blood due to no more disease rolling but GoD still wins out because of the scaling.

I've found DW Unholy seems to be performing about 500dps+ better (with my current level of gear, ~232ish) with the Frost subspec. Icy Talons combined with faster Necrosis ticks have certainly given it a viable boost to offset the 2H specs found to be dominant in 3.3. The extra +Str from EW easily offsets the loss from Bladed Armor, not to mention the added OH damage from the change to NoCS (white damage was the highest source of damage output for the spec back in 3.2.2)

I'll try running Kahorie's sim with a few variables over the next few days. My level of gear is moderate considering that I'm MS'd as a Blood tank. Preliminary info over @ EJ seems to push DW as being competitive up to the highest gear levels, where 2h once again overtakes with the likes of Shadowmourne and proc-based weapons.
I'll get some clarification soon, but the DPS output is definitely better now.

ok here is my question, what do you mean by it not rolling? It doesn't take extra AP into account? From my understanding it will go by the current AP when you cast pestilence. So in my eyes it would make sense to have GoD to save a GCD by only casting one ability versus two (Plague strike and icy touch) and focus those runes on scourge strikes while the other blood rune for blood strike to keep desolation up.
