Horde players will see "bur"
If you type "bur" will they see "lol"?
No, it's not as simple as that.

Here, use the
Orcish / Common Dictionary
. It will help.
Or there is also the
Common / Orcish Dictionary
.

You could just type /laugh. If you use any of the built-in emotes, the other faction can see what you've done.
If you try to use a custom emote (/me ), they'll just see a message that you're making some weird gestures.

I've taken to simply adding a space between letters, not sure if that works but seems to from the reactions (might be coincidence oc) - so l o l, m o t h e r f u etc
which you could macro no doubt

Also can't help but wonder why Alliance can understand Drek'thar and Galvanger and how Horde can understand Balinda and Vanndar.

I've always wondered if people who speak a different language think in that language. It'd be interesting to read someone's mind to find out.
wel if i think, im thinking in dutch, so i gues we cant understand them if we could read minds.

Alliance can say quite a few things that horde players can read.
The other direction is very limited.
The only ones I remember are:
77 77 77 = ha ha ha
aw jkl = no kil
The translation is a hashing system, so a lot of things translate to the same output, and the "chunks" that you get are what you use to make words. Unfortunately, a lot of the Orcish --> Common hashes are useless strings of consonants, which makes it hard to generate useful phrasing.

They do. I used to dream in French occasionally, years ago when I actually used it a lot and was decently fluent.
