Alright, what do we learn...
1. Uther's soul remains in Frostmourne. Jaina/Sylvanas speaks with him. The Lich King is not Arthas. There may still be some good in Arthas, and that's what's holding the Lich King back.
2. Deathbringer Saurfang is a boss for both Horde and Alliance,
before
after the Gunship battle. He fights his father or Muradin, and then dies. He doesn't appear to be redeemed. His real name was Draenosh. It would appear that Saurfang specifically hid him from the rest of the Horde, rather than exiling because of the pox. His mother is dead.
3. Interesting quote from Jaina...
IC_Jaina_Event02 - *crying* It was nothing your majesty ... just ... I'm proud of my king.Does she speak of Varian? Does Varian do something incredibly selfless that makes Jaina proud? Or does she speak of Terenas, who we know shows up? Or even Arthas, who became king after Terenas died?
Food for thought...
4. Aha! I read a little bit more and guess what I found!
IC_Varian Wrynn_DBA01 - Stand down, Muradin. Let a grieving father pass.
IC_Varian Wrynn_DBA02 - I... I was not at the wrath gate. But the soldiers who survived told me much of what happened. Your son fought with honor. He died a heroes death, he deserves a heroes burial.
Hell, I'm proud of Varian. :)
5. Jaina appears to speak with or at least get a good look at the Lich King in HoR after speaking with Uther, only to find that Arthas is completely gone. She then has to destroy several barriers of ice to escape, while we defend her from waves of undead. Sylvanas seems pretty much the same.
Alright, anyone else have any theories or suggestions or if there's anything I missed, please, post! :)

Yeah, I'm certain that that is Saurfang. Muradin seems hesitant to let him pass, which tells me that he's Horde, and then Bolvar and Saurfang were the only named people at the Wrathgate, and he's not talking to Bovlar's father...
Actually makes me proud of Varian for once.
And I doubt we'll find out who Draenosh Saurfang's mother is. Whoever she is, she must be freaking She-Hulk to be able to survive doing the nasty with Saurfang. :P

You can listen to the entire event on youtube. There's nothing to speculate about. Varian asks Muradin to stand down so Vorak can claim the body of his son. Jaina then boo hoos at this kind act.Indeed, it's all there on the transcript I linked to.

There are no new discoveries made...
Saurfang Jr. knew his son's soul had been captured by Frostmourne. I think he had expected to find him in ICC.

Senior? :P
There is something new - VARIAN WAS NICE TO AN ORC. It's a first - Will this be a breakthrough? Has Jaina's counselling worked? Has he managed to control his rage? Find out, in patch 3.3 and beyond, coming to a store near you
soon.

Saurfang Jr. knew his son's soul had been captured by Frostmourne. I think he had expected to find him in ICC.I beg to differ. There are several "discoveries" made, in the form of confirmations. Saurfang Jr. dies, for example. That end the speculation that he might be redeemed. We found out Saurfang Jr.'s name, that is also a discovery. We have confirmation that Arthas and the Lich King aren't one and the same.
And Varian was nice to an orc. That's the big one. I never saw that coming.

Remember me saying something about characters not being static, and that one of the things they
should
do in a story is break your expectations? This is why I stand by the thought that Garrosh will be a better leader than most will expect.
Still, he goes from calm and collected about commiting mass genocide against the Orcs to respectful too quickly - Hopefully it will be better explained in-game than Varian's return was.
I still stand by the opinion that I think Garrosh will be a poor leader of the Horde, especially at first.

Maybe we don't have to kill eachother after all? :P

It still goes from "ORCS EBIL. ME HE-MAN SMASH" to "Hiya honey, want to come round for some food, Saurfang?" Rapidly - and makes the Horde look worse with Garrosh around.
