Some animals are more intellectual than ourselves (Study show dolphins may indeed be smarter), and lets face it, most of us ignore our instincts.
Unfounded facts are unfounded.

If we didn't ignore our instincts to some degree, the world would be a very savage and harsh place. We would be animals. But, we aren't. We can think and reason logically.
And, the dolphin thing.... uuughhh... dolphins are intelligent, but more intelligent than humans? We should hire some on at NASA.
This conversation is degenerating more and more rapidly as the people who try to defend abortion get more and more desperate.

Your justification for humans being more important than other animals is that they have a greater capacity for learning? Your line of reasoning is the exact sort of thing Hitler was thinking when he started butchering the Jews en masse.

Don't contradict yourself.
Please.
It's a hypothetical situation. Forget about pre-concieved ideas about species or whatever for the sake of answering my question.
Please.
It's still contradictory. If it's the exact same it
is
the same species by definition.

It shows some good indication, this isn't the publisher but is most definitely a real article, there are dozens more, want to read them? Dolphins can figure out mechanics while children shove $%^& up their noses. Oh yeah, we're superior.
You don't understand what intelligence is firstly.
Secondly, I saw nothing on that page to indicate they are smarter.

If the concept of a species didn't exist. Once again, a hypothetical situation.
I'm bored of this. bye.
Just because a concept of something doesn't exist doesn't mean the something stops existing.
Bye.

lol I am not trying to defend abortion. I am trying to get you to answer a question in a straight manner. It made sense when it was presented and you have pranced around it for TWO PAGES. Holy crap man, don't act like its ivokk's or my own fault that this turned into mush.
Because when someone answers your point, you just ignore them and demand an answer to your question again.
Mush indeed.

What a crock of &*!@. All you did was argue symantics of the question. Last post, im out. Phrasing a question here is like explaining quantum mechanics to a 3 year old.
Bye.

Size, shape, gentic makeup, DNA, growth rate, and that is just off the top of my head.
There's your answer. And, no.... the point still makes no sense. Also, I'm under no obligation to answer anybody's questions. And yes, I can disregard stuff if I want to. Someone comparing pigs to humans, and then saying something like this:We're all meat as far as Im concerned.beg to be disregarded.

Thanks for revisiting. No hard feelings about earlier.
I disagree with your assessment that 'inaction' alleviates her of any misdeed. Is it possible that if abortion is the murder of one's child, then the decision to abort is morally wrong? Consider a woman deciding to kill her 5 year old kid. The law permits it, but not after the age of 5. She goes to get a knife. The husband ties her up until the kid turns 6.
If abortion is murder, then we are not likely to be as forgiving of her. Since we cannot rule this out, we should consider its possibility.

'Sins of the mind' has little to do with it. It is an ethical matter. If a woman went to kill her son with a knife, but was stopped, she wouldn't have murdered, but could be charged with attempted murder. Same would apply for a woman intent on abortion, if abortion is murder.
This isn't a religious matter (though it could turn into one). It is an ethical one.
