Putting a CD on shifting would ruin the class.
Its other abilities combined with this ability to eliminate snares, which makes it OP

i got to 3rd page before reading some of the *!@# about warrior charges and thinking (wow do these ppl think that my charges are good for chasing? i mean really ppl druids just shift out of hamstring and than i intercept hamstring, same thing and it keeps going on and on honestly you ppl forget about cooldowns.) also i cant remember who said it but 15 shifts? thats a lot, that would be over a min of me charging. and of course all of these druids are saying "it's not op its just like stance dancing!" because they ARE druids (btw stance dancing is WAY differant...it doesnt remove snares) so i think the best solution would simply be this...take away the remove snare effect

Ok, didnt read entire post, but gonna add my two cents anyway.
1st so its in the open, i absolutely despise druids, rogues and SPriests. they all suck when played by a good player.
Druids, CD shapeshift and even tho that would be nice in some aspects, would kill the entire class, so cant do it, Resto Druids are the worst to kill, run, pop out hots run, but if u have someone say a lock keeping on the druid, their cake, u got them focusing on themselves so the other is free to take out their arena partner(s).
SPriest, (im a pally) mana burn should have a CD, not gonna happen, but if were giving a CD to shifting, do it to mana burn too, because essentially, a SPriests first job in arena is kill the opponents mana. hence any caster class is screwed without mana.
Rogues, omfg do you have enough stuns for F*&^'s sake! and u cry about someone being abe to "shift and run" god wish i could get away from u little bastards! if were CD'ing shifting, nerf those damn stuns, or take away the noob (mace) spec so u dont get to frickin proc the damn stuns too! give Kick a longer CD, make Cheap shot have dimminishing returns (bet u dont like that idea do ya?)
All in all, i see a resto druid, i get a little salty, cause i know its gonna be a LONG fight, but we can still win (and do ofton).
i can manage to live through (oft times kill) rogues, just toss up ret aura and watch them kill them selves while i heal through em.(same strat for warriors)
Spriest gets me every time, havent figured out how to beat them on a pally, honestly dont think i can. Resto drood could probably take me after an hour or two..... same as say holy/disc priest.
and, thats my input on this (ages old) subject.

Ok.... Resto druids have essentially two jobs in an arena match.
1) Spam cyclone on the healer and
ESPECIALLY
Spriests. Mana burn kills us.
2) Spam HoTs and run around as much as possible. If you can kite someone away from the fight then your doing your job.
Rogues are our kryptonite. Stun, stun, stun, oh yeah, and another stun.... Poison, poison, stun again, vanish... Lather, rinse, repeat. Do I need to continue?
ANY
rogue that can't take a resto druid is either incompitant or is brain dead. In either case, please do your team a favor and /teamquit or /afk....

isn't the gcd built into shapeshifting? That should be plenty of time. Also, in arena, you have a partner/partners to help you. Communicate. My friend and I used to tag team druids as rogue lock. I'd all out dps on them while he spammed CoEx and they'd eventually have to stay in caster form long enough to land a big ks. I had mace stun at the time as well and that was a big help, but it's not really worth mentioning now. Combat/Harp is nearly dead in pvp atm.

im a 60 mage twink and i pwned a 70 druid full geared vengeful.
they r easy if you know how to beat.
the most imporant thing. is to keep the feral AWAY FROM YOU. if they are slowed down, keep slowing them down
if they go back into druid form and HoT just run away ASAP and then engage from afar or take them by surprise by comeing in with intercept or some @#$% that gets you close really quickly.

It would be great to know how I can kill them as a shammy as I have a CD on my Frost Nova and my Earthbind dosnt do much good.
And if Im unlucky I dont proc or crit anything
L2 ghost wolf after you shock to catch up. I have no problem catching druids in travel form as you will gain ground when tehy shift out.
