Also, most of these guides are for "grinding" a profession up once you hit 70, so the problem of being too low to obtain the mats is non existent. Most people see this as a better way of doing the crafting profs instead of leveling them at the same time you level your character. Generally, it is suggested pick up 2 gathering proffs to build up the money as you level, then depending on class and needs go with the crafting profession of your choice and grind it up using one of the "guides" The choice is ultimately your own though, go with what is easiest or more beneficial for you.
Still doesn't matter since as I said at first, there are cheaper ways to level up your proffessions even if you are at 70 as I used the example of 310-320 leatherworking. The addition of the Heavy Knothide Armor Kit is also cheaper in every way then what the guide suggests.
I was originally going to post a cooking guide for 1-375 that is cheaper then the posted one but Blizzard thought it would be funny to change when some recipes go grey claiming it was never supposed to go that high (even though it was always like that since day 1... GG Blizzard) which kinda messed it up. I could do up a quick one when wowhead adds in when skills go yellow/green.

For anyone reading the engineering 1-300 guide from lvl 150-175 it says use fireworks which im pretty sure are a recipe from a certain wow holiday so iron struts and aquadynamic fish attractors seem to work...

The guide was probably written before the mats needed to make the armor kits where nerfed and was optimal at that time.

This is true. When I leveled Engineering from 300-375, I noticed that the mats I had anticipated on using were not needed and that some Schematics could be used a little longer.

You can take all secondary professions you want without any restriction. Those are cooking, first aid and fishing.
You are only limited in primary professions (all others, except lockpicking which is class dependant) from which you can only take two.

Yeah, I know that. That is exactly why guides to MMOs need to be updated instead of created once and left to rot like these have.
Like I said, now that wowhead has when tradeskills turn yellow/green, I'll work on a profession guide for all of them. I just need to finish doing some updates to my reputation guide I have before starting on this one. I'll link it when it is done and possibly post progression updates in this topic.

Dude, check the Professions skills page, there you'll see that Spellfire tailoring gives bonus to Fire and Arcane damage, and that Shadoweave gives bonus to Shadow and Frost damage.

I personally find the Herbalism guide very helpful...and I tend to go with orange recipes anyway, so these guides arent so bad for me. Thanks for helpin' me out, i was getting sick of having 12x professions at 70...So I recently started skilling up, then I got stuck (248 alch 218 herb) so I searched for a guide, and here I am.
Gracias, Senor.
