Even with great healers and great gear, I still wouldn't use Blood/Martyr. Corruption/Vengeance does a great job, and if you really want more instant threat for whatever reason, you can always go with Righteousness.

You completely missed why corruption is used over blood. Assuming another paladin will post, i'll skip the details...
SoB > SoR regardless
SoB > SoCor for DPS
SoCor > SoB for tanks.
The negligible blow back dmg from SoB is nothing. To even consider it anything is a waste of time
