How to waste my money the most efficient way
Return to board index
Well, the title says it...
Here's my problem:
Ok, I am a growing and developing DK, right now I'm lvl 66. It is my main - yeah, I know, one more of those nasty, overpowered death-tards - and now I am facing a problem about my future. I am proud to have about quite a nice sum of gold. On my DK I have 450g, I am slowly but steadily leveling and expect to have about 1k gold when I get to lvl 70. I am a steady leveler who isn't bragging with his money, so I basically expect to have 2k gold when I ding 80. In addition, I have a bank alt and at the moment I possess 800g on it.
To sum it up, I have 1.2k in total at the moment. I bet it could be more if I sell some of my stuff.
Now I'm thinking about riding and flying. As I am a DK, I already have journeyman riding skill. Now I still need 800g for expert, 5000g for artisan and 1000g for cold weather flying, without taking the cost of a mount into consideration. And there is also dual-spec.
So, how do I spend all my gold the most effective way? First learn flying, then dualspec? Other way around? Something else?
By the way, I am aiming to be a frequent raider. Do you earn much money at level 80 with dailies and so on? How much on average?
I hope you see my problem, I hope you have some advice.
Thank you for all your help!
You don't have much money at all. Get 15-20k then talk :p.
I would suggest though you get epic flying first being that using it allows you to complete dailies at 80 much faster + easy farming if you have mining and/or herbing.
The only reason you'd dual spec is if you want to tank/dps or tank(dps)/pvp, neither of which make money.
Get dual spec last, if you are dual speccing two DPS specs then it is pretty useless in raiding imo.
Get epic flying first cause farming and dallies will be 200% easier.

Epic flying speeds everything else up, so that would be my first goal. If you stop spending gold now, your 1.2k should end up something like 4k when you ding 80.
There is plenty of dailies to do, you have no problem hitting the cap of 25 daily quests if you feel like doing so, earning you 250-300g from rewards plus another 60-70g from drops. With the slow flyer I would focus on the dailies on the airship in Icecrown plus the tournament, that give you a resonable number of dailies without too much travelling. Once you get the epic flyer you can expand and cover a larger area.
Save dual spec for the very last. Even if your guild need you to tank you should be able to make a spec that works both for tanking and soloing stuff. If you don't need to tank, just pick a dps build and crush the world. Dual spec for a DK is for when you need to be an absolute top performing raid tank with the ability to switch to an absolute top performing dps'er.
