Dralas
Character: Dralas
Time: After Midnight
Location: Icecrown, Shadow Vault
- Dralas had crashed into the ground. Doomwhisper must have fallen somewhere else nearby, but at the moment, he was alone. Dralas looked around to see Doomwhisper and Varis fighting.
"Damnit" Dralas muttered. Dralas did not have his blade for it had been sent to outland for Naruu to inspect it, so he had to make due with what he had left.
Dralas began to say a prayer, hoping that by some miracle this plan would work out..

((It’s my honor, Skree. These forums have provided me with the outlet I need to allow my imagination flow like the waters in the Great Sea. And don’t ever worry about “overdoing” it. Forums are a 1D model and taking this medium across 2 separate Dimensions to give the Characters life in 3D is a true gift.))
Characters
: Mavik and Glasius
Location
: Crusader’s Pinnacle
Mavik took a sip from the steel tankard of wine and then placed it back on the table. “You know,” Mavik started. “If your purpose truly is to send people to the Afterlife, such is not such a bad calling. As followers of the Light we believe that all things have reason. If yours is to take life, then, perhaps, it is because new life is to still be given.”
Glasius looked to Mavik, his arms folded across his chest. “That is a good point, my friend. However, one must also understand that every life is precious and who are we to decide if that life deserves to continue or not? After all, if what you say is true and we all do have an ultimate purpose, then do those lives that are being taken not also have purpose?”
“Perhaps, that purpose is for its life to be taken, Glas.” Mavik tried to explain. “Perhaps, their reason for being is to fulfill the purpose of one that takes life.” The room fell silent for a few moments as they all took in what was said.
“Well, one thing is clear to me, Lads.” Tirion added. “We all do have a reason. And, perhaps, our Troll friend here is about to find out what his is. After all, I can’t even force myself to think that the events that have transpired between the three of you are only mere chance. No, what has happened here… from you two getting dropped off in the middle of Icecrown on accident, to Tusks getting hurt, to Mavik being there to heal him, and Tusks knowing where to go. None of this is chance, my dear friends. The Light has been watching you three and led you all here for a reason… together. Now, if only I knew what that reason was…”
Mavik and Glasius listened intently to the Legendary Paladin as he spoke. Nodding his head, Mavik turned his eyes to Tusks. “He is right, you know…” Mavik stated. “This is, clearly, no accident. Whatever the Light has in store for us, it has planned it for all three of us. Now, I don’t know if you believe in the Light as we do, but, whatever you do believe in, It has a plan for you.”
“The only question is,” Glasius interjected “What is that plan and how can we help you to achieve whatever it is you are set to achieve.”
Just then, Mavik felt compelled to say a prayer. Not sure why, he looked to the three men at the table. “Let us bow our heads in hopes that the Holy Light will speak to one of us and illuminate our path.” Tirion and Glasius nodded and did as the Priest requested, closing their eyes. With a look of confusion in his eyes, Tusks merely lowered his head. Looking to each one of them, Mavik also closed his eyes and started to speak. “Heavenly Light, I beg of you to show us our path that you have set for us. Illuminate our destiny so that we might go to it and fulfill your command.”
-But, what of your orders from your king?-
“Our orders are meager and trite. Your will is our guiding force.” Then, after a brief moment of silence, an image flashed before Mavik’s eyes. Startling him, he opened his eyes, his hands now glowing with a magnificent white light. “Did you see it?” Mavik asked.
“I did.” Glasius replied as he opened his eyes looking to Tirion. He seemed afraid.
“As did I, Lad.” Tirion added. “You do realize that followers of the Light are at a disadvantage there…”
Tusks looked confused as his head snapped back and forth between the two Paladins and the Priest. “WHERE?” he exclaimed. “I didn’t see a damned thing!”
“That’s because you were looking with your eyes, friend.” Mavik answered with a smile. “The Shadow Vault. We saw it quite clearly. There is a Artifact of the Light there, and it is in danger.”
“Our power over the Light is weakened there." Glasius added as he looked at Tusks, now also smiling. “However, with the three of us there together…”
"I can have one of our Mages teleport you there, directly." Tirion added. Mavik and Glasius both purced their lips a bit at the thought. "Ha! Don't worry, Lads! My Mages are a bit more accurate with their incantations."
“Very well then. So, what say you, Tusks?” Mavik asked. “You ready to meet your destiny?”

"Certainly." Base answered strongly.
He was interested in what Tirion and the others had said earlier and decided to follow and see what he could learn. Perhaps he was intended as a dealer of fate, but perhaps he had some greater destiny. He wasn't sure what to think.
But, it couldn't hurt, and perhaps he might find something.
((If ye don't mind Mavik, since you're the one who saw the artifact, I'll let you lead... :P))

: Mavik and Glasius

: Crusader’s Pinnacle
The other three smiled brightly at the Troll’s answer. “Fantastic!” Glasius called out. “How soon can we leave?”
Rising from his chair, Tirion called out from the tower. “Saidir!”
A few seconds later, a young mage walked into the tower with a pipe in his mouth. As mages would go, he seemed to be nothing special except for the fact that, unlike the rest of the beings at Crusader’s Pinnacle, he was not wearing any markings of the Argent Crusaders. Instead, on his chest was the symbol of the Kirin Tor, the Eye of Dalaran. “How can I be of assistance to the Ashbringer?” the mage responded. His voice was whimsical and only confirmed his youthful age even more.
“Saidir, these men need quick access to the Shadow Vault.” Tirion explained. “Do you think you might be able to assist us with that?”
“If it is the will of the Ashbringer, the Mages of the Kirin Tor will answer.” Saidir answered. He then sat his pipe on a small table to his left and pulled up his sleeves of his violet robes. He then started to mutter some words indistinctly, raising his arms up to chest level, fully extended out. As each word passed from the mage’s lips, his hands started to glow the same violet color as his clothing until he finally twisted his hands, palms inward, and threw his arms out to each side, ripping a hole in the air that was held open by his arcane magic. Smiling, Saidir reached back over to his pipe, placing it back in his mouth. “Your destiny awaits, friends of the Ashbringer.”
Now standing in a triangular formation, Base, Glasius, and Mavik looked into the portal. Taking a deep breath, Glasius turned to Base. “I think it might be best of you stay out of sight for a few minutes…” Nodding in agreement, Base hunched down a bit as his visage slipped away from sight. “I’ll go first, then Tusks, and finally you, Mavik.” Mavik nodded at Glasius’ request. “Once the priest is through, close this door.” Glasius spoke in a stern voice to the Mage and then walked for the portal followed by his two partners.
“Mavik!” Tirion called out as the Priest reached the portal. “Here.” He tossed a tome that he had strapped to his side. Catching it, Mavik looked at Tirion with surprise. “Blessed by the Lightbringer and myself. I’ll be wanting that back when you’re done. Now go. And may the Light shine on you.”
Mavik smiled as he looked down at the Leather-bound tome. “It hasn’t stopped.” Mavik answered as he stepped through the portal, it instantly closing behind him.
_____________________________________
Location: The Shadow Vault (Upper tier)
Mavik stepped through the portal, gripping the tome tightly in his right hand. The Shadow Vault was a Dark place. Even though the Knights of the Ebon Blade were no threat to them, the structure still gave him an uneasy feeling. However, the odd thing was that he felt more in touch with the Light now, than he did even back at the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind. Taking a quick glance at the Tome, Mavik smiled and whispered. “Thank you, Ashbringer. “ He, then, looked around and spotted Glasius scoping out the area. “This it?” he asked in a hushed tone.
“Aye.” Glasius responded looking around still. “You feel that?”
Mavik closed his eyes for a moment. He then felt the power of the Light, in its full glory, coming from the other end of the floor. “Yeah. That has to be it.” A pebble struck the Priest’s foot startling him slightly. $%^&ing a half-smile, he knew what, or rather who, it was. “Let’s go check it out.”
The two friends walked confidently down the corridor before them, leading into another room. The feeling of this beacon of Light had gotten immensely stronger but was pulsing a bit in intensity. Picking up their pace the two entered the room. Base was close by, they could feel that… but where, they didn’t know. It was in there that they saw a collapsed Draenei Death Knight just a few yards to their left and an Elvish Death Knight holding a Human by the throat in mid air off to their right.
“Die!” the elf called out. He hadn’t noticed Glasius and Mavik yet, but he would soon. They had to act fast, so Glasius pulled his mighty hammer from his back, holding it before him.
“
no...
” Mavik whispered. “
we don’t know if he’s on our side or the lich king’s...
”
Glasius looked at Mavik with agitation and whispered back “
this is the moment you’ve been waiting for, Mav… figure it out, fast… on your call…
”
Mavik looked at the Tome Tirion gave him and closed his eyes. A second later he called out “Go!” Glasius started charging at the Elf holding his Hammer high. With each step, he spoke another word of prayer that illuminated the massive Iron head of his great weapon. Mavik swiftly flipped open the Tome with his left hand and forced his right hand out in front of him. A pulse of Light shot from the pages of the book, through Mavik’s body and out his right hand, smiting the Elvish Death Knight in the back. The blast of Holy energy caused him to ark backwards and let out a yell. However, he did not loosen his grip on the Human.
“By the Light, I will cast you back into darkness, Agent of the Dead!” Glasius called out as he reached the elf, bringing his Hammer down on the arm holding the Human and breaking his grip. Dralas fell to the ground hard and laid there, completely immobile. Charging past the Elf, Glasius looked back to Mavik. “The Light is with that Draenei!” he yelled. “We could use her help!” and, with a nod, Mavik rushed to Doomwhisper’s side and started to pray. Holding the blessed book in his hands, the Light enveloped the bodies of the Priest and Draenei, creating a protective shield around them both as he continued praying.
“Holy Light, bless this child of yours. That, although she was taken from this world, you would give her another chance to right what has been wronged.”
Then, as Mavik spoke the final word, Doomwhisper’s throat opened allowing her to take in a gasp of air. However, she was still in no condition to help Glasius. Realizing this, Mavik smiled at her. “Take it easy. You’re not ready yet…” and he continued to pray and replenish her strength with his words.

Characters: Mavik and Glasius
Location: The Shadow Vault
Glasius met eyes witht eh Elvish Death Knight and smiled. "Oh, I am more than aware of what that monstrosity can do." he boasted. "But, I'm sad to say that I won't be able to slaughter it in the name of the Light since I also know that it will vanish once I have dispatched you and you have returned to your grave."
Varis looked at the Paladin and let out a Hearty laugh. "You pathetic fool! It's just you an me now! Your Priest is too preoccupied with my next victim to heal your body as I rip it to shreds!"
"Who said anything about the Priest?" Glasius replied.

Character: Base
Location: Shadow Vault
Base had been following the two humans, nearly invisible in the shadows, nearly silent. He waited for the priest to give the command, and upon hearing the order, sprinted through the shadows behind the Death Knight.
"Tsk tsk, I'll show you how to strangle someone," he whispered,
wrapping a coil of thin razor-wire around the Death Knight's neck
, silencing him.
He then managed to twist the Death Knight's blade out of his hands, disarming him.
"Methinks you'd best surrender, mate."
"Where..." Varis asked as he gripped his neck, calling upon his dark magic to heal the wounds.
"You were looking with your eyes." Base stated with a smile.

Doing his best not to break concentration over his prayers by hearing the screams and blasts of Magic around him, Mavik closed his eyes tightly and started to pray harder… and faster. Within seconds, Doomwhisper was fully restored of her vitality and looked up at Mavik. “Thank you, Priest…” her words were still staggered, but she seemed fine.
“It was my honor, milady.” Mavik replied. “Now, if you don’t mind, we have a bit of work to do.” Mavik smiled as he placed his right hand on Doomwhisper’s head and whispered a simple prayer bestowing a blessing of
Fortitude
upon her. His face then turned to one of concern. “I understand…” he said quietly. “Rush to her side, friend. She needs you.” Mavik rose up from the Draenei and walked over to the side of the Broken Shaman. Flipping the Tome open again, he readied his right hand again, ready to protect and heal his comrades as needed to defeat the Elvish Death Knight.

Characters: Mavik and Glasius
Location: The Shadow Vault
The dust made from the explosion engulfed the room. It was impossible to see. Mavik and Glasius, both, casted their
Protective
Shields
on themselves as there was little time for anything else. Mavik could hear the Shaman coughing to his left, but there was nothing he could do. He couldn’t even see himself as to if the blast had killed Tusks. He was sure, that it did not harm Glasius as the blast was made from unholy and holy energy, two magics they were either immune to or able to absorb.
Was this really what Mavik wanted? Was this the heat of Battle? From the looks of it, the Priest didn’t like his odds of being able to go back to his home and tell the tale of his first real battle to the Priests of Stormwind… His shield was fading fast and his soul had become weakened from it. But then, Mavik noticed the Tome in his left hand starting to glow. He closed his eyes and started to concentrate.
“I need your help, Holy Light…”
-You are at a loss?-
“I cannot… hold the barrier much longer… Grant me… your… str…”
-I see. Fear not, my child. Although you are now alone, help is here. Surrender your arms.-
Then, the shield failed. The dust and debris seemed to funnel into his mouth, choking him and dropping him to his knees. “Help is… here…” He gasped but it only made the situation worse. Weakened by the situation, Mavik dropped the Tome on the ground as everything started to go black. “This… this is… it?”
-The Book… Open it…-
Mavik mustered every last ounce of strength he could and was barely able to reach over and toss the front cover of the Holy Tome open along with a few pages.
Just then, a Pillar of Light shot out from the book and widened by four or five feet. The light scattered the dust and debris as it threw it away. Then, from the light, an armored plate boot stepped out of it. The edges were lined with gold and shone with a magnificent light. An equally armored and matching glove followed, then the other boot. The next thing to come out was a blade. The steel that made up its top half shone with an enigmatic Light, toward the top was a shining disc that floated inches above the cut out for it on the blade. Its handle was crafted from fine ruby and, what seemed to be, wood. Mavik’s eyes widened as he looked up at it.
“Ashbringer…”
Tirion stepped the rest of the way out of the Light and knelt down next to Mavik. “I’ll assume you are done with my book now.” He stated. “Rest now, my friend. I’ll take care of this scum.” He then swept up the Tome and latched its bindings onto his belt where it had been originally. Then with one swift motion, Tirion flung Ashbringer from left to right in one fluid movement, blowing away all the dust and debris that clouded his vision. With Varis right in front of him and about 10 yards away, he lifted the great sword of legend and pointed it at the Death Knight. “I am Tirion Fordring, wielder of the Ashbringer, Paladin of the Silver Hand, and sworn enemy of the Scourge! These men are under MY protection and you will not harm them anymore! For, if you try, you will have to go through me!”
((Two can play at this God-moding thing! RAWR! Never the less, I need a few hours of sleep. Skree, you are more than welcome to pick up Tirion where I left him. ^_^))

Character: Base
Location: Shadow Vault
Base had used his Cloak of Shadows to shield himself from the blast. He watched through the heavy dust as the Death Knight flew at what appeared to be the human warrior he had fought earlier. He wasn't sure what to do, but he knew that the Death Knight was still an enemy, even if the warrior was also an enemy. He broke in to a sprint, jumped and, using his shoulder, slammed into the Elf, knocking him off of the gargoyle ((right?)).
"I'm not finished with you!" Base yelled, slamming a brass knuckle with all his might into the Death Knight's kidney. He jumped backwards, flipping into the air and pushing off of the ground with his hands before hurling a dagger at the Elf. "You're not just going to run off and abandon this fight."
Tirion saw the Elf fall and ran at the Death Knight, swinging the Ashbringer deftly, barely missing the Death Knight's head.
"By the Light, you shall fall, you undead abberation. You shall not lay a hand upon a single hair of these good people!"

Doomwhisper
Location:
Shadow Vault
This isn't my day.
Doomwhisper thought, seeing both the broken and the paladin try to heal her. "I'm fine...." She gasped at them both, pushing them away. She tossed some corpse dust, clenched her hand and a ghoul appeared out of the ground. She quickly cast Death Pack, absorbing the energy of the ghoul and healing herself.
The draenei stood up, holding out her hand and resummoning her blade.
Come on,
she thought, drawing holy energy from her blade, and using it to revitalize herself.
I know their trying to help, but they should be focused on Dralas. There's something about him the Lich King wants.
She stood up, still feeling weak, but didn't care. The Highlord didn't know what he was fighting but she did. Her blade was flaring with holy enegy, and she charged forward, intending to strike Varis at the weak point she had noticed.
