Character: Base
Location: The Bombardment
Base continued to weave his way through the mountains on his way to Aldur'thar. He wasn't quite sure where at the Desolation Gate they were, but he had seen them come this way.
"
He probably won't remain in one place for long,
" he thought, "
better hurry...
"
He picked up the pace, sprinting on towards the gate.

Character:
Aelnon
Location:
Under Aldur'thar, Lower Level
"By the Naaru." Aelnon breathed, looking around the tunnel they were walking through. "You like it?" The Crypt-Lord rumbled at her and she nodded. The architecture was amazing, completely alien to her but still beautiful.
"Your all alive aren't you?" She asked after a few moments. There was chittering from the nerubians around her, but Arka'baran made the laughing sound again. "Yes we are, we are part of the Nerubians who escaped all those long years ago." The Crypt-lord answered.
"How does the Lich King not know your here?" She asked, and the creature pointed at the walls. "The Saronite, while it makes invincible, it also blocks his powers to a point. We have been living here, trying to figure out some way to destroy these blasted Scourge structures."
"Amazing." Aelnon said, walking alongside the crypt-lord now. "Where are you taking me?" She asked him and he made the chittering sound again. "You'll find out soon enough ex-death knight." The lord spoke, gently pushing a nerubian who got in his way aside.
((ooc - time for sleep, more nerubian investigations when i get back on, and there are like 8 tunnels in the room aelnon fell into, and her shields are on full so no jumping in her mind to shortcut to find her girlcaster heh.))

Mavik
((OOC: why do you guys have to have a dramatic fight so close to where Glas and Mav are? You should know by now that I can’t resist a good chance for an epic entrance!
Characters: Mavik and Glasius
Location: Second level of the Shadow Vault
Several days had passed and Mavik’s condition hadn’t changed. Lying motionless with a white drape covering his entire body but his head, Glasius found it hard to look at him. It looked so much like a cadaver with a death shroud over it. Sure, inside he knew that Mavik wasn’t dead. The vision of Ladalia told him that much. But he just couldn’t get past the look. It was mortifying. Even still, Glasius refused to leave the priest’s side for any reason.
As time went on, Glasius occupied his mind thinking about the dream he had three days ago. What did Ladalia mean when she said “it’s cold here”? Was she in Icecrown? Had she not been murdered all those years ago? Perhaps she was hiding out, waiting for the perfect moment to make for home. However, it had been over a year with no reports. Glasius couldn’t dismiss the idea that she might be alive, but all the evidence pointed to other conclusions.
Several hours later, another Ebon Blade Knight walked in the room. Glasius had never seen this one before. His eyes were glowing with an eerie purple and his armor was darker colored. Clearly, this was no ordinary Knight. Clearly, this was a Death Knight. So he instantly jumped from his chair, pulling his mighty hammer from its resting place on the ground next to him.
“Calm down, Master Paladin.” The Knight stated. “I do not wish any quarrel with you or your friend.” Glasius did not move or loosen his iron tight grip. “I have actually come to help.” the knight continued as he sighed a bit. “I only need a bit of space and I think I can bring your friend back to.”
Before the Knight could finish, Glasius moved to the foot of Mavik’s bed. “You will come no closer.” Glasius’ voice was stern and commanding. “Your kind may have given shelter for my friend and me, but I still have little trust for you.”
“And rightfully so, Master Paladin.” The Death Knight kept his distance. He had no idea of what Glasius was capable of, but he had no intention of finding out. “As you can see, I am completely unarmed. The Knight spun around in place, showing that he had no weapons. “My name is Zarlas. I was once a Paladin of the Light like you. After Arthas turned me, I had forgotten the way of the Light. However, thanks to Master Darius and the rest of the Ebon Blade, I have managed to recollect most of my teachings, altering them to work with my darker side… enhancing them.”
Glasius paused for a moment, considering the situation. The worst thing this being could do is try to attack and Glasius could overpower him. Being in the middle of the Shadow Vault and one story up, it was unlikely that the Death Knight would be able to get away with anything, should he try. After a moment, he stepped back over to his chair, loosening his grip on his weapon and allowing it to fall to his right side. “Fine.” He stated. “You have two minutes.”
“Thank you, Paladin. I should not require much more than one.” Slowly, Zarlas made his way up to the opposite side of the bed from Glasius, putting Mavik in the middle of them. Glasius never let his eyes leave the man. Then, reaching in to a small pack hanging from Zarlas’ side, he pulled out a small glass vial and held it up at eye level with Glasius and himself. “Water from the Glacier, itself.” He explained. “While I was under the control of the Lich King, I gathered some of it. They say that it can wake any man from the deepest sleep. That, it can even call someone back to this world while standing at the doorway to the next.”
“Have you seen it work?”
“I am here, aren’t I?” Zarlas stated. "Now, I’ll need a bit of help from you. I will need you to continuously heal this man’s body as I administer the contents of the vial into his mouth. Whatever it is that has this hold over your friend will not likely leave without taking some sort of reward for its efforts.”
“But this was done by over exposure to the Light.” Glasius tried to explain.
“That is what he wants you to think.” Zarlas pulled the cork from the vial. “Even though the Ebon Blade control this tower, his existence has still left its mark. Now, if you do not mind, start healing. I have other matters to attend to and we need this room.”
Glasius released his hammer, letting the massive, golden-etched head slam down on the floor next to him. Raising his right hand, he started to pray inaudibly, his hands growing brighter and brighter with Holy light. One after another, the light blasted from his hands pelting his Priest friend in the chest, the light dissipating on impact. Zarlas then opened Mavik’s mouth gently with his left hand and emptied the contents of the vial into it. Instantly, a feint blue light washed over Mavik’s entire body, mixing with the power of Glasius’ healing. Then a second later, the Death Knight arose and Glasius lowered his hands.
“It is done.” Zarlas spoke. “In a few moments, your friend will awaken. Afterwards, I must ask that you both gather your things and make for Aldur’thar.”
Glasius looked over at Mavik. He was already starting to twist and turn. It’s the most motion Glasius had seen from his friend since the battle. “What’s at the Desolation Gate?”
“Your Paladin friend. The one who caused all the trouble here not too long ago. We are unaware if he is in need of assistance, but one cannot be too careful.” Then, Zarlas put the vial back into the bag it came from and turned and walked out. “Good luck to the both of you.”
About five minutes later, Mavik opened his eyes. It happened very slowly, but they were open. “Wh-what in the name of the Light happened?” he asked with a hushed tone. He shook his head vigorously as he sat up in the cot. Glasius’ face filled with joy as a smile shot across his face. “And, why are you smiling at me like that?”
“I’m happy to hear your voice again, old friend.” Glasius responded as he reached out, taking Mavik’s right arm in his left, pulling the priest up to his feet.
“I missed it all, didn’t I…” Mavik said as he looked around remembering what had happened. “I missed the epic battle…”
“Not really. Tirion ended up showing up and took care of it for us.”
“He did?” Mavik turned to Glasius with a look of surprise. “Great… now I’ll never get my story.”
“On the contrary, good friend. How are you feeling?”
“Well enough, I suppose.”
“Good. Because that beacon of Light we felt is at the Desolation Gate and seems to be in some sort of trouble.”
Mavik stretched out his arms, rotating his neck a bit. “Sorry to hear that. But shouldn’t we be getting to the Argent Vanguard?”
“That would be the responsible thing to do, yes.” Glasius thought for a minute. “But, surely King Wrynn has been informed of our not arriving and we’re already in a boat load of trouble as is. Might as well make the most of it.”
Mavik smiled, tilting his head toward Glasius. “You’re right. And who knows!” Mavik exclaimed as he walked over to a small table, picking up his mace and tome. “I might just get that war story after all!” The two friends then made their way out of the Shadow Vault. Aldur’thar was south east of them, but not far enough to warrant paying for a Gryphon to take them there. It’d been about a week since they talked and now would be a good time to catch up.

Dralas
(( OOC - Basically, most of the characters are at Aldur'Thar in Icecrown. Nathadan has some odd deal with the dragonflight with time and space, Aelnon has two different dragonflights trying to take hold of her, Maldan is just owning us and yeah..
Also, was gone because after that raid where I got my shield finally, got a massive headache ))
Character: Dralas
Time: Late Night, -- Day 1 --
Weather: Cloudy, cold
Location: Aldur'Thar
- Dralas had been knocked back non-stop by spell casters and now an abomination had been summoned attacking him. He could only watch as his friends were in constant peril, barely able to even fend for himself. Dralas' sword was cutting at the abomination constantly, trying to do holy damage but still not doing enough to the massive scourge.
"Why won't you die!" Dralas yelled, slashing at an arm and cutting it off. Suddenly the abomination swung its chains and axe at the same time side to side. The chains knocked Dralas down from hitting his legs and the axe landed onto his blade full on into the ground. He turned to see in shock that his blade had been.. shattered. It layed in two pieces.
"Oh bloody hell" Dralas said before getting up and grabbing the fragments. Now he was unarmed and couldn't fight back except with the Light, and that would not last too long. Suddenly, his blade fragments glowed, coming together and somehow reforging itself.. except now it was the size of a one handed weapon.
"Fine! Just the way I like it!" Dralas yelled, now being more agile since he had less weight to swing. With a constant series of smites, jugdements, and burns with holy fire, the abomination slowly fell apart.

Mavik
Character: Mavik and Glasius
Location: Aldur’Thar
As the two friends walked across the pathway connecting the Shadow Vault with Aldur’Thar, Glasius told Mavik all about the battle that had ensued. From the moment Mavik collapsed to the hasty departure of the Death Knight through a conveniently made hole in the wall. Mavik continued walking in silence as his dear friend recalled the events. A part of him was saddened because he wished he would have been awake. However, the Light had still blessed them since no one was killed. And, thank the Light for Tirion. As if Mavik didn’t already idolize the Paladin as it were…
Both, Mavik and Glasius, noticed very early on that the pathway was uncluttered by scourge forces. In fact, there wasn’t a skeleton in sight. It wasn’t that they were complaining. It was more that they were hoping to get a chance to stretch a bit before arriving at the Desolation Gate. Mavik had been down and out for a while now and Glasius was in no better of a condition. Still, the two know what had to be done and they pressed on, praying that the Light would give them the strength to help their comrade.
It only took about twenty minutes before they could finally see what was going on at the Desolation Gate. The Scourge were flush throughout the area, so much that it was hard to tell if there was anything… alive… in there. Mavik and Glasius stopped to take it all in and weigh their options. They could try to sneak in from behind and take out a couple dozen Scourge until they got closer in to get a better look. But they may very well get over run by their sheer numbers. The other option was a more Passive one. Stand back far enough where they wouldn’t be noticed but still close enough to see what the Lich King’s forces were attacking then rush in to join them and even the odds a bit more.
Mavik was still feeling weak from the injury and all that time in bed, so they decided to play it safe and hang back. Glasius took position high atop one of the spires that jutted out from the walkway to get a better view. Mavik sat down close to the spire and pulled out his tome and began to read, working hard to memorize as many aggressive Holy spells as he could. Stopping for a moment he thought to himself that this fight would not end like his last. This would be his great story. He didn’t care what it would take. He would have his story by the end of this day…
