Its too bad, a world so filled with people still judging books by covers. I for one, a regular WoW raider, was bored at work last night, and threw the quick and simple download on my work laptop. Expecting nothing more than a cheap time killer till my shift ended, I was pleasantly surprised by quite the opposite. For a brand new game, this is the start of something good. Yes, its a game run by microtransactions, but the limitations on free or not are which jobs you can take (which by the way, everyone can take every job, you are never limited to one or two choices, as is common in rpgs)Of course the most 'popular' ones are going to require their 5 dollar a month membership, which about the same as a couple of vending machine sodas.I will admit, combat is extremely basic and simplified, but that may appeal to 'casuals' who don't want 37 spells literring their screen, with taxing 15 move combat orders and the like. I also believe it will be improved. But what impressed me the most, was how they take mundane wow-esque tasks and make them fun again. Cooking is no longer a button click and a scrolling bar. Through flash mini-games, you chop the vegges, stir the soup pot, flip frying meat on a fry pan. Gathering has its own mini-games as well. You don't simply find a carrot on the ground, and click it, and wait for the cast time to finish. You're whisked away into a bejeweled-style matching game, where you are literally hunting for ingredients to fill your baskets. Oh, and while you're accomplishing these tasks, FreeRealms has already implemented 'achievement' objectives to every task, which earn you more rewards.I only had the time to test a few aspects and only a few jobs, i've yet to race cars, do destruction derby, raise pets, among other jobs, but what I found in just those few brought me enough entertainment to give this a second look. So no, i'm not telling you to cancel your WoW account and flock to this game, and no, i'm not a FreeRealms/SOE employee. I'm just a player of games, that looks beyond trivial matters to find enjoyment, which is after all, why we are all here, is it not?
looks a bit like R.O.S.E. Online, but then more queer.
its very gret aktually XDXDXDXD
WoWhead owes me another keyboard for making me spit soda all over it.
This man speaks the truth , *****.exe stopped working bull s***. makes me wonder if the wowhead staff were simply being paid by "free realms" to post this god awful blog.
