We had a meeting about it 2 weeks ago, we tried to get in touch with you - no success as you seem to notice...

I made an invisible frame covering the side buttons, and triedSideActionBarCover:SetScript("OnEnter",function()
MultiBarRightButton12:SetAlpha(1)
end)
I used the same except OnLeave and 0 Alpha after that, of course. It showed potential but it was super buggy and would only show if I wasnt mousing over another button or something. I tried to use my own _OnEnter() but it wasnt working and wowwiki said Id have to declare _OnEnter in an xml file or something... I wasnt sure...
Yeah, I was just doing the one button to test. I didn't realize that being behind a different frame would "hide" the mousing over... I'll go change that around now. Thanks for your help :)
Edit: So in Bar5.lua I set the cover to 20, buttons are 15 and the bars are 11. I alt tab into wow, /rl, excited for it to work, but it doesn't. I /framestack to see whats up and the cover is 19, rightbar is 21, buttonpanel is 23 and the button is 24. Are the levels being declared somewhere else? Im going to try setting the strata of the cover higher...
Edit 2: Visually, with the covering being in the low strata it hides correctly. However, the buttons dont register events. Any idea where (and why) Tukui sets framelevels other than bar5.lua?
Hehe, gonna give a try this afternoon:) Also, i'm using tukui too, for the same reasons Akarian said. I started to mess with lua with caellian, then moved on a more complex thing.
What i don't like of t13 is the new way of managing bars, with all the buttons and the panels and the "on-the-fly" updates. I simply scrapped it. I know there is a much simpler way to handle all these things. Need to find it though.
About the mouseover, you can follow 2 directions for different results:
- create a transparent frame and put it wherever you want, parent the bar to it, and make a simple script that sets the alpha to 1 on mouseover. More complicated to say than to do, but if you already know some abut lua, it's not difficult at all. This way, whenever you move your mouse on the frame, it will appear completely (all the buttons).
I used this method (whitout mouseover though) to fix the pet bar (just parented to the pet unitframe^^).
- the way i use, i just made the mouseover script whithout additional frames, with a "for" cycle that goes for every button on the bar. This way is even simpler because you don't need anything more than you already have, but the result is that the button pop up one at the time and not all toghether.
Both of these things require lua editing. Anyway, if you need code, just look at how zone name and coords are implemented on the minimap. :)
WHAT THE F*&*( ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT? Im so confusled...

I do that all the time. Just walk around sometimes are you're fine. :P I am just feeling sorry for those guys thinking they get healed by standing close to me. >_<
Grid should though include a feature to show frames like if you were in a party or raid. Imagine how much less /afk in battlegrounds there would be.

Ok, going to try this afternoon :) I want absolutely move the raid frames in low center, and update them with different size if you are in party, 10man ore 25man.
Not that i don't know how to do it, just i need to see them :)

nah...if you're wanting to make changes to lua take a notepad and take notes then change things afterwards, if you are using an ingame config you can defend and find moments to piddle with it and make quick changes while waiting for rez's...I've found it's the easiest way to get my raidframes solid since you have both in combat and outta combat realtime view of what your frames will do which is important to me when on my healies.

You could just.. auto attack a dummy.

A common addon called Grid has no configuration mode, so if you want to see how the addon will look while in a raid/bg but don't have 9-24 other people who will just sit around getting less exp and not being able to progress in quests, configuring it can be a pain. That's why they go into AV to configure it.

Well, you didn't mind the part where this thread turned into the "Same five people splooging over pixel fonts and crapping all over anyone who dared to do something different or non-conforming" thread, so God knows why you're pitching a fit now.

It's funny that most of your posts are related to either bashing people who make points that you don't like or the handful of active posters who
actually
help people. So what if some of us prefer pixel fonts? It's not like all the advice people are given consists of "you need to get rid of half your UI elements and get a pixel font stat"
Also, while being so busy complaining about stuff, it seems you have forgotten to post your UI! How about you show us your clearly superior and fantastic UI which "doesn't look like an Atari game"?

Minimalistic UI
<To be relevant to the thread.
In reply to what I quoted, can we drop it? like all types of art forms there is a degree of subjectivity that requires you to accept that different people have different points of views. Your mom raised you to say "I don't care for it" instead of "It's disgusting" because that starving kid in africa would love to eat it. Maybe pixel fonts and minimalism isnt your think, but I think we can all agree its better than huge combat font triple raid frames xperl dps meter guy who happens to always play a ranged dps class in pve.

1. I've never "crapped" on anyone on this forum about their Ui.
2. Urmadcuzurbad.
3. I'm Ishtara, I can do whatever the hell I want.

Just so I'm clear, when I get attacked for attempting to keep the thread on topic, I am the one being rude and derailing the thread. Got it. I guess I should feel rather special that out of all the posts slinging unnecessary comments around, mine had the privilege of being edited by a mod.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Gnub##DELIM##No, you can't. Be nice, and let's stay on topic - posting shiny pictures! :)
