Monsters? Can we get a definition on that word that is agreed upon? What a monster really is is a person (or other being) who goes against the social customs of a society. A society sees all those who violate their social customs beyond a certain self-defined threshold as monsters.
By this definition, how are either the Horde or the Alliance considered monsters? Do either of them go around eating babies or something else totally against the other society that I'm not aware of? Both of these factions have their own societies and social customs. These two societies have rather similar customs and practices. Hence, the groups would not quite consider each other as monsters, but more as hostile entities or enemies. In order for one faction to be considered monstrous from the perspective of the other faction, they would have to have social practices and customs that are as a whole considered monstrous to the other society.

Meh. The Horde side really has the only race that
seems
to be inherently evil, being the Forsaken. Now they may just be misunderstood, but it does sorta seem like they are teh ebils.
Also they used to be humans, and as we all know humans are Satan. Just look at King Wrynn. Though he did threaten to tear down a necropolis with his bare hands, and that was pretty badass.
Anyhow. The 'Horde are monsters/Alliance are little kids' is basically just faction pride. I play Alliance primarily, but that was only because my friends who got me playing are Alliance. I don't particularly care either way, but I do love a little bit of faction pride, and it's only natural to belittle your enemies and boost your comrades' egos through propaganda.
Also, Alliance needs a better catch phrase. 'For the Alliance!' or 'For Lordaeron!' just seems unoriginal. D=

Well, we DO have a race that cannibalizes.
Read WoWWiki. The Darkspears gave up cannibalism to join the horde. So their best reason against trolls is that they have TUSKS. And against belves? They may be anorexic, but sure as heck aren't magic addicts anymore. Remember the whole last patch of TBC? You know, with the Sunwell and all that jazz?
Well the forsaken are monsters, trying to deny that is like saying gnomes aren't that techno. They are undead, they have the ability(talent in there tree) to eat a corpse to boost their own vitality(HP). They also can withstand long period of time not breathing. They do have a mind and soul, but their mind and soul gets twisted thanks for the fact they are in an undead corpereal form. Forsaken will leave forever if they gets necromantic energy directed to them otherwise they will rot away(This is stated on wowwiki forsaken page that the forsaken slowly detoriated but is very slowed down by magic).
So Forsaken are the true monster race of wow because they plan to annihalate all living to forsaken. Sylvannas may change tactic some now thanks for the blight catastrophy, but nothing is sure.
Also all forsaken is not mad or simple very insane but most of them are with the memories of their old life burning them in their mind. There is example of forsaken who is turned good but they are very few in lore and warcraft.
Also forsaken are the only race who is not born undead, they was races before who got plauged or necromancer raised as undead individual to serve the lich king. Then they got free sylvannas created the organisation of undead under her leading as forsaken(pun on their cursed affliction, life has abandon them). Most undead was humans but there is other races who is called forsaken as elves, dwarfs, trolls etc. The technical term for that race is really undead as they are biological the same as the scourge, but they are free willed.
so i think he refers cannibalism on the undead not troll, but i agree the wording is not really fitting.

Let me point some stupidity/evilness on all races, or at least as much as I can. Note that some of these are attributed to the race, but not necessarily to the faction that we play.
Humans - Enslaved the Orcs after the 1st or 2nd war, or something like that.
Dwarves - Not much that I can recall here. They have been a pretty benign race as far as I know.
Night Elves - Their "achievements" can be seen with what is now the Maelstrom.
Gnomes - Similar to Dwarves, but still : Gnomerengan
Eredar (Draenei): Two words: Burning Legion
A fight between different dwarf factions ended up, if I recall, unearthing a powerful fire entity and creating the Searing Gorge, or some such. I don't remember the specifics. But, yeah.
No one's hands are exactly clean, here.

Every race on Azeroth is a monster race except humans.
And if you play human, you either have no imagination, either you want to pwn in PvP with their talent.
I play both Horde and Ally. On Ally my main ended up being my banker, who is a human only because I wanted to run to SW rather than another Ally city. Had I known that I would love shadow priest, I would have rolled a nelf or dranei for it but I can't be bothered to go back and level another now that I've done so much on it. Doh. I love everything about her except the race but at least I only have to look at the back of her.
Horde might be monsters in the fairy tale story sense, but in gaming sense, the monsters are the creatures that are trying to bash your face in to prevent you from getting the sweet, sweet loot. Everyone else makes up the indigenous population.

well imo the alliance are the badass ones because when our leaders want peace that
meany varyan wants war.
an example of the quest "retaking the undercity" (horde quest)
in the end varyah wants to wipe thrall and sylvanas and if it werent jaina
we would have a serious 4rth war
/peace
