NOTE - APPLICATIONS CLOSED!
Info -
Welcome! This thread is designed to help people hone their roleplaying skills and to have fun while doing it!
Rules -
All posts should be IC (in character). If not, you should put, "OOC - blah, blah, blah" .
At the top of your first post give us a short description of your character you will be RPing as.
At the tops of
every
post should be the name of your character and their current location. "Starting Locations" are Fallow Manor for Scourge and Milwick Vale for Humans.
No godmoding! That means, no commanding another character in an overpowered way. For example, nothing like, "Billy Bob saw the rogue hiding in the shadows and killed him."
Please RP your character arriving at the starting location and meeting my character! I will give more instructions after that!
Have Fun!
Description -
The Scourge has invaded Lordaeron! I will be RPing for the Scourge and the Resistance (Humans), you will be RPing as either the Scourge or a Human. (Say which at the top of your first post.) I will be giving objectives out to both sides, and you must complete the objectives! Yay!
Important Edit -
Since this is my first RP, I think I'll close it after I have five people for each "faction" sign up. So first come first served!

NPC -
Krysh
Location - Fallow Manor
Description - Krysh is one of the Lich King's most trusted necromancers. Once an Orc Warlock, he has now fallen into darkness and become a necromancer.
Krysh
leaned against the stone bulwark. His current position offered him an excellent view of the dark courtyard, the place all new Scourge Acolytes would have to pass through before going through the heavy metal doors leading to the Inner Sanctum. Unless he was mistaken, he heard someone approaching now. It was time.
Krysh
turned away from the courtyard and walked through the arch, onto the balcony over looking the parlor. His dark purple robes swished menacingly as he paced forward into the flickering half-light provided by the torches. The dark stone walls seemed to glisten with blood as they shimmered in the light. He rested his hand on the rail of the balcony, tapping his long, green fingers tipped in black nails impatiently. He sincerely hoped that this next batch of acolytes would be up to the tasks that the Lich King expected of them.
Npc - Sir Valfor
Location - Milwick Vale
Description - Sir Valfor is an old hand at war. Once a foot soldier in the Second War he joined the ranks of the clergyman after the war was over. He recently combined his skills and joined the Order of the Silver Hand. He has now proven his worth and has been dispatched the Lordaeron to lead the resistance and halt the Scourge invasion.
Sir Valfor
sat in front of his fire, warming his hands. He had just finished setting up his tent a short while ago and was now idling the time. There would be time for action later. A few hours ago he had received a letter telling him that new trainees would be arriving shortly. He would have to train them quickly if they were to stop the Scourge in time. A few yards away was his roan horse, tethered securely to an old stump. It suddenly whickered quietly.
"What is it Bella? Something the matter?"
he said. Bella just pawed the ground nervously.
Sir Valfor
laughed, he supposed these were the new trainees arriving. If so, they certainly had a lot to learna bout woodsmanship. If not, well he was certainly able to protect himself. He reached down and picked up his massive metal hammer and waited for whoever it was to step into the light from the fire.

PC - Squire Chandler
Location - Milwick Vale
Description - Squire Chandler has never left his home village before and has never seen battle. He has been assigned by his local Lord to head to Sir Valfor's encampment to tend to the small things and to learn from sideline combat. He is semi-skilled in shortswords, daggers and bows but has a basic understanding of most weapons.
Squire Chandler
led his mule through the bushes, the bushes covered in black leaves and gray branches, the gray branches matched his clothing in color, the color not stained in hardships nor tears. He looked up into the sky and followed the trail of thin smoke leading to Sir Valfor, stopping now and then to take a drink from his skin of water.
A squirrel ran in front of him, it was bony and pale, 'like the trees around here' Chandler thought. He could clearly see the light in front of him and the scraping of metal shoes to the ground. "Sir Valfor?" He asked, hoping that it would not be a pack of rogues.

NPC - Sir Valfor
Location -Milwick Vale
Sir Valfor
peered through the night. He grimaced to himself, it was hard to see through the smoke from his fire. He held his hand out palm forward towards the source of the sound and shot a beam of light forth from his hand. The light illuminated a small man in gray robes cowering in the bushes beside his mule.
"
Sir Valfor
?"
The man said in a quavering voice.
Sir Valfor
grinned into his beard.
"Don't worry son, I won't hurt you. Have you been sent to help the fight against the Scourge?"
He asked.
"If so, you can tether your mule next to my Bella and come sit here next to the fire. I've got some jerky if you're hungry."
"Bella?"
the man asked.
Sir Valfor
pointed towards his horse.
"What's your name?"
He said after the man had tethered his mule and sat by the fire and
Sir Valfor
had offered him some dried venison.
"
Squire Chandler
, if it please you sir!"
he said.
Well,
Squire Chandler
, after you're done eating, why don't you set up your tent."
Sir Valfor
said.
"You do have a tent don't you?"
Squire Chandler
swallowed his food quickly and nodded,
"Yes sir!"
"Very good! Set up your tent and get some rest, we'll begin your training and the Resistance movement in the morning!"
Sir Valfor
said cheerily. Then he picked up a twig and pulled out a knife, whittling away the time as he waited for more Trainees to arrive.
OOC - Sorry about kind of godmoding your character a bit blade, I hope you don't mind, I just needed to get the story moving.

NPC -
Sir Valfor
Location - Milwick Vale
It was now almost midnight and the fire was starting to die out.
Sir Valfor
had just gotten up to get another log to put on the fire when more rustling in the bushes forewarned of a new Trainee. Out of the bushes popped a man. On his back was a heavy leather, soldiers' backpack. By his side was sheathed a sword, and on his arm was a large shield.
"
Sir Valfor
?"
the man asked.
"That's me! Sword and board, eh?"
Sir Valfor
asked.
"What's your name?"
"Rohin, sir."
the man said.
"Well
Rohnin
why don't you set up your tent over there and get a good nights rest. In the morning we'll get started."
He said. Then he sat back down and waited until morning.

NPC -
Krysh
Location - Fallow Manor
Krysh
Turned around as he heard something behind him. It sounded as if some fool was actually climbing up from the courtyard instead of going through the doors, into the parlor, and up the stairs.
Krysh
sighed. An undead ghoulish beast had just climbed up. It was a miracle that it could climb so well considering that it was missing parts of it's jaw, arms, and legs.
"I suppose *eeeh* you're
Krysh
, the Head Necromancer?"
it said.
"I certainly am."
proclaimed
Krysh
disdainfully.
"I suppose it didn't occur to you to use the stairs? No matter, we can put those skills to good use later. For now, head up stairs and pick a room that you'll stay in. Come meet me here tomorrow and we'll get started. What's your name by the way?"
"Rimpa NcJohnson."
he said.
"Very well, you are now Acolyte McJohnson. Head off to your room now."
((OOC - When I say "tomorrow", I mean tomorrow in the story line, not in RL. I'll probably keep it night until we have 5 people for each faction or something, then I'll give you stuff to do. For now, while we're waiting, why don't you set up tents/find your room?))

NPC -
Sir Valfor
Location - Milwick Vale
Sir Valfor
glanced up from toasting his coney over the fire. A stout dwarf bearing a shield and hammer engraved with the symbol of the Wildhammer dwarves had just walked up.
"
Sir Valfor
,
Filman
reporting for duty!"
Sir Valfor
looked over the dwarf, noticing the singed beard and blacksmith hammer strapped to his back.
"A blacksmith, eh?"
he said.
"Well, we'll certainly have use for you.
Trainee Filman
, why don't you go set up your tent over there? Or if you didn't bring a tent, you can sleep under the stars."
he said, indicating the ground over by the other tents.
((OOC -
Filman, you didn't godmode, don't worry!
Girlcaster, would you like to join either the scourge or alliance first? Please don't start going off in a new direction.))

((OOC - Yeah, but I really wish she would come ask me first before doing such a thing. And about playing as an undead too, how about we wait a few more days to see if we can get some more people? If not, then sure! I just want to give other people a chance too.))
Post by

((OOC - Not to be mean or anything, but could you please start out as an acolyte at Fallow Manor and everything? As the story progresses you can be sent on an assassination attempt, but I think we should get the story started before attempting to kill off one of the main people.

Oh, and don't kill him in this, I've already done that in Light and Death XD))
NPC: Lord-Paladin William Morec, Garen, John
Location: Outskirts of Milwick Vale
Description of the Characters: ((Go read Light and Death, starting with Page 1, please. But, as of now, he's alive.))
((EDIT: Sorry, didn't notice Light and Death had been moved to this forum. Thanks Admins! ))
-
William Morec
pulled on the reigns of his steed. Behind him his apprentices,
Garen
and
John
, did the same.
Lord Morec
had just came from Capital City, King Terenas had dispatched him to do an inspection of camp, the King needed to know if his warriors were prepared for battle against the Scourge.
-"
Garen
,
John
,"
Morec
said to his students. "I'm going to have a look around the immediate area to see if it's clear. Report back to me at the camp when I get there."
-"Yes, sir," the two Paladins-in-training replied and then spurred their mounts and rode off towards the camp.
Morec
turned his mount and slowly began to ride through the surrounding woods.
