While I wouldn't totally remove Death Knights, I do believe they should be
earned
, not merely created because you have a high enough level toon on some server.
I'd make Death Knights be an extension of the warrior class. When your warrior reaches lvl 80, you can choose to complete a long ass (and expensive) quest line in order to become one. When you do, all your Achievements and Honor Points get reset to zero.
This is an awesome idea! Take it one step further and have the same option for other classes but only different hero classes... catch my drift?
Originally DK's were supposed to be created by sacrificing a high-level paladin and doing some sort of a quest. That's why I leveled my paladin from 1 to 70 ... than they made it so everyone could get one... that's how all mages got one ... and now you're calling DK's noobs? I blame mages ... and the rest of casters.

Rogues.
Of all the DPS classes, they are the least useful. At least a Hunter's Misdirect is ranged. Lockpicking? Just make it the fourth secondry proffession.

Not a class but a race, I would remove Blood Elfs in a heartbeat. Horde side used to be nice and quiet before the belf nab flood.

I'd get rid of all melee dps classes. You know how ez mode raiding would be with all ranged dps?
Every difficult fight, its always the same. Melee dps takes too much damage which sucks healers mana dry and then we wipe.
If i had to pick just 1 melee dps class, i'd pick rogues.

It would make more sense to have it be an extension of the paladin class.
But i agree with this. You should have to earn a hero class, not just make one cause you can level a toon.

When I first started reading this thread I was thinking "DKs? What are these people smoking?"... I'm glad at least two of the later posts commented on rogues. Invisibility (which is what rogue stealth is) should NOT be a multiplayer game period. Real "stealth" in terms of hiding from people behind cover is totally obsolete when someone can disappear in plain sight. It just shouldn't be there at all. When someone can kill you in plain sight without you even knowing that they're engaging you... well that's just stupid.
And that's just stealth... I'm not even going to touch all their other BS like stunlock, their insane damage with combined high survivability, etc.

It irritates me how people think blood elves shouldn't be in the game. They are, in my opinion, one of the coolest lore-driven races, up there with orcs and night elves. They are my favorite race just because of the lore behind them.
HOWEVER, I also agree that they shouldn't be paladins. Unless I missed something, were there any blood knights in warcraft lore before BC? Hypocritical, I know, my main is a blood elf pally, but blood elf WARRIORS make more sense than blood elf paladins to me (unless, again, I'm missing something)
I would say they should've added a Spellbreaker class for BEs and have them be the ultimate anti-caster class, but DK's have already taken up that spot.

The concept and story of Blood Elf paladins is one of the most lore-rich ideas in TBC, I loved every moment of it... From the capture of a Na'aru and the ability to "force" the light to your will, to the Sunwell and the redemption of their race, the Blood Knight lore was incredibly well done. In my personal opinion of course.
