Hardcore Tauren roleplayers might also want to pick up Herbalism as a profession. Just a suggestion.

Rise of the Horde, Last Guardian, Day of the Dragon and Lord of the Clans are good reads for lots of Orc based lore.

Also the War of the Ancients Trilogy is GREAT reading as to the history behind the Night Elves and Azshara and Illidan and Malfurion.

Eh some people dont like War of the Ancients trilogy as they feel it alters the lore and the like. I enjoyed it thought.

It DOES alter the lore.
Since when does going back in time and messing around with stuff NOT affect history?
So that's not a very good reason to QQ about the books :P
It all depends on how you view the time stream. Some people view it that such-and-such never happen, and then Average Joe goes back in time forever altering something. But the impression I get from reading the books is that the writer (Knaak) looks at it in one of the other ways. In this way, time is like a continual loop, where this already happened because they had traveled back, so if they travel back, then nothing gets messed. They are just fulfilling fate/destiny/whatever.
It's pretty hard for me to explain right now 'cause my head hurts, but a book that is kind of the same and might explain it better is Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox.

Post is very good, however i would like to point out that the trolls retreated to "Sen'Jin" village, not Sul'Jin.
Heh, thanks. I don't know how that got in there!

The troll section looks like it got cut off and then it goes straight into the Tauren section in the next post.
Awww bloody, flaming, stupid, piece of crap! How'd that happen? I don't suppose anyone remembers what it used to say?

Queggy, a suggestion for a website to name Night Elves:
This
you could add this to your post, I found it and it is very helpful for naming them, if I find any more racial naming websites I will post them here....was going to make a topic but remembered this was stickied.
For those that complained that it doesn't work, just remove the 'L' at the end of html and it works :)
Alternatively click below.
http://www.geocities.com/guildofeternalnight/elf-names.htm
Or...
http://www.geocities.com/guildofeternalnight/
And scroll down to 'elf names' on the side pane.
Happy namings :)
Note: this guide was made before the belfs came along but from what I gather it can easily be applied to both races due to the similarities between the two languages (Darnassian and Thalassian). The phrases and such were all derived from the same roots that many other cannon elven languaes came from and well Thalassian derived from Darnassian so it does in fact work for both.
The language on the site is assumed to be Darnassian.. So just don't have your belf going around uttering sentences you find in there unless they're fluent in Darnassian and talking to someone else who is -- as unlikely as the case may be.
*totally also a lore junkie >.>*
