Apparently Blizzard is combining *equivalent* spells...right.

This change looks very positive and I'm hoping it enables us to open up a dialogue that results in the lowering/removal of Improved Restorative Totems so that PvP Resto can afford Mana Tide in medium-heavy survival builds.
Though I'm half-expecting all it's really going to result in is a nerf to Chain Heal when the numbers start coming back and all of a sudden resto shaman are several thousand ahead of where they were before because they're using 100% HST for the first time ever.

Lets not get into the fact that the totem needs to be recast every 5m's, has a small range, gets removed if the shaman dies, and eats a GCD. Meanwhile BoW gets cast once, Pre-fight I should add, then the pld forgets about it for 30m, why on earth you would ever use Mana spring after this change is beyond me.
This.
-.- Does that seriously say too unique? I was under the impression that's why there was more than one class in the first place. To be unique.
Me too.
Blizzard's explanation/reasoning is pretty poor, and I suspect just a diversion from the truth - they want to further nerf mana regen.
I don't mind the end result, although I think that Mana Spring totem will need a buff to match BoW. Healing Stream totem could also do with a buff.
