I Raid as Prot and run Heroics as Ret, somehow it just works out better that way lol. Anyways, I've been using this
0/10/61
for my ret build but I'm noticing alot of immune attacks from Vindication (I think). What I'm wondering is would it be cool to take the two points from Vindication and put them into Imp Ret Aura for the extra little damage boost for the tank?

That's precisely why Vindication is a PvP talent, not a PvE one.
Those points would be better used either in Imp Ret Aura (as you suggest) or Divine Purpose (for stun removal)

This is what most ret specs right now look like.

Note the 5 points left over. Pretty much put them wherever you like. For example this is what I do.

The only reason I take SoC is because I PvP every now and then.
When it comes to PvE and Vindication it is really not worth it because mobs don't really have stats. They are just made to have abilities that hit from X to Y damage.
Vindication is more of a PvP talent.
Also in PvE make sure you are using SoB/M

I don't agree with vindication being more of a pvp talent. I mean I suppose it could be viewed as that but I have it for my ret pally and it procs all the time, I remember when it first started procing i would notice that the targets health bar would fill up. what I didnt realize is that when i hit the target the bar would fill but the total hp would go down 20%. So an example say the target has 10k hp and i hit for 500hp it would take them to 9500 hp, however vindication would proc and drop the target to 8k hp, there for filling the bar but ultimatly giving less hp. I know basic math but its just an example. Vinidcation plus divine storm and targets become about 20% easier to kill...
thats just my thoughts perhaps im missing something, Im pretty new to actually knowing what the talents do :-S

It drops a targets attributes (Str, Stam, Int, ect)
Most mobs in the game just have set numbers for their abilities, health, mana, ect.

The less health and less mana a target has makes it slightly easier to kill tho...right? Maybe its not worth jumping right into getting but i think for pve its worth eventually getting. However I personally would recommend getting it early on as it makes general leveling easier....imo. Listen to the people that know more than me, im just giving my opinion here.

Honestly in the end it really just isnt worth it in PvE content the DPS boost would probably be so miniscule you wouldn't even notice.
The rest of the points you have are better spent on talents that can help your party/raid.
