Since I saw the patch notes on 3.1 I knew that my DW spec 32/39 was dead once the patch came out. So since then I have been looking at patch notes every week atleast 2 or 3 times a week to see all the buffs and nerfs added recently. I noticed that now HB doesnt do double dmg from Frost Fever but now they decided to double the dmg of the move itself which is what moved to make a new build that would help the DW survive this upcoming patch.

The gains from this spec are Annihilation, Epidemic, Guile of Gorefiend, Tundra Stalker, and Blood of the North.
Frost Strike will be the new runic dumb and due to the addition in Guile of Gorefiend it gains the 15% dmg that Death Coil got from Morbidity.
For those that didnt know Impurity does increase dmg more than Tundra Stalker but not by alot.
Feel free to leave any comments and post any changes to the spec if you wish.

Warning, I hadn't put much thought into this until now since I abandoned DW at 3.0.8, so I'm just coming up with a stream of fail consciousness, but maybe there will be a nugget in there.
I think the 10 second cooldown on HB may kill the DPS because you'd probably be waiting for the KM proc to use HB and it becomes non-rotational, otherwise you'd hit HB and of course the proc would come right after, possibly blown on FS or IT.
I think that there are some unknowns that we haven't dealt with yet, one of which being "what will the new Blood Boil look like?"
Also, there's "What will Unholy Presence with Imp UP look like with the runes going to 9 seconds?"
If we're going on the premise that DW death knights want to accentuate non-strike stuff, getting 60% boost to Blood Boil, Death Rune Mastery, and Impurity plus Unholy Blight to have a rotation of
IT - PS - Pest - DS/Oblit - BB
Oblit/DS - BB - BB - BB - Pest
Then repeat BB - BB - BB - Oblit/DS - Pest
(remember that Pest with the new glyph will refresh all diseases, even on your main target, so you only need to IT - PS on your very first rotation, allowing 3 BB's plus Pest + Oblit on every rotation, since every rotation will have 2 Death runes (for the extra BB's), and a FU for the Oblit)
That would have to be an odd tri-spec though (to get annihilation), which almost definitely will be fail. I'm just trying to illustrate that we have some unknowns. I feel the annihilation + oblit in the rotation beats beefing up DS since we're already going at least 8 into Frost for Nerves.
For (ignore the glyphs)

How about a crazy blood DW spec?
http://ptr.wowhead.com/?talent=jfV0qI0IcbRf0stG0fxhZbBased solely on BB and DS being decent. :)
Although the downside is... a lot of stuff gets wasted in blood, like SD and HS... probably too much waste to be viable anyways. Just thought i'd throw some insane blood DW build together lol.

Absolutely not now go make me a sandwich.
I also have been a bit curious as to why no one ever even looks at the blood tree for DPS.
What about something like this?
http://ptr.wowhead.com/?talent=jfVGV00IsbRfostG0eLhRemember black ice is also going to increase shadow damage by 10% even though it doesnt state it yet on wowheads talent calculator.
I dont really see a lot of waist. You'd have obliterate for frost/unholy runes, and heart strike for blood runes. Death Coil for RP dump. DS should do pretty decent damage in case your low on health and them healers seem to have forgot about you or your taking a lot of aoe damage. MoB is a good ability to help your tank out if he gets in any trouble.
Its got a bit more utility in it than your typical "pure dps" build, but i think overall it would do well to help a raid progress through content.

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/481609*Btw, that idea was made to be comical and not a serious build for DW in case you didn't catch on*
