One time, I was running Heroic UK with some guildies. Skosiris came along to donate his epic damage output and farm some badges. We got toward the end and were fighting the mob that flies down to block your path on the drake. Our process is always to drop the drake, then the rider, but the rider died first on that run. Sko killed it faster than the other two DPS and the tank could kill the drake.
The tank, a good friend of mine, laughs and says "I think Sko does that just to get the pleasure of killing a mob I can't taunt."
Anywho, l2killorder, Sko. >:(

Pre-level 60 you see CRAPLOADS of huntards when running instances (wait, my pet has a taunt? What is "passive"? bullets pl0x. lol its k i cin fd)...
Post 60 its Deathnubs all the way.
"Get over here!"
"i no im not tank i cn solo him"
"lol oop"
"ya this is my main my alt is level 55"
Don't get me wrong, I have seen a *few* good Hunters and Deathknights, but for the most part nearly ALL of the stereotypes are true =|

Yeah, I'm not digging the DK stereotype. My DK is both a tank or DPS depending on my spec at the time, and I find I have to wedge my way into groups because people just assume I am fail. When I end up pumping out major damage or show competence in tanking, they are always shocked. :(
Frankly, though, every class suffers from that to some degree. I think it just annoys me that people make a judgement about my ability as a player simply because of the class I play.
I refer to those people as Stereotards.

My guild has a few very good hunters in it. Not geared that much as they have only just reached lvl 80, but they still know their class.
OK... so here's a Death Tard experience.
My friend was pugging a heroic dungeon, and they have another DK as dps. This guy looked decently geared. About halfway through the dungeon my friend opened up his damage meter.... and was shocked. This guy was doing 450 dps, at lvl 80. My friend then proceeded to check on the guy's talents. He was about 40 something in blood, 5 in frost, and the rest in unholy. Then he checked the "Offensive Abilities" in Recount. The Death Tard's damage was as follows (in order of highest to lowest): Icy Touch, Pestilence, Melee. That is all. Just... those three. How this guy managed to level to 80 is beyond me...
On Topic:
In my last Heroic HoL the hunter MD'd the healer on Loken.

This happened twice to me on my Death Knight alt, who is now level 69.
During Ramparts-
Group Leader: Hey Lunasi (me), can you tank this?
Me: Sure, I'll give it a go.
So it goes surprisingly well for the first 2 pulls. 2. Then of course...
Other DK: Hai i cin halp tank i is bloods
Me: No, it's alright, one tank for a 5 man is best.
Other DK: CMON I CAN
So he goes through the rest of the instance, even with me telling him to stop Death Gripping and DnDing, sucking. I didn't kick him.
I regret it. He was so bad. And unfortunately, I've run into a lot of bad Death Knights, but I always give them a shot. If they turn out awful, then they get the boot. I hardly even notice bad hunters anymore. =P

Also, hunters who DPS Gluth when they've been assigned a kiting role.
I had a hunter who volley'd like 5 zombies, then just started DPSing Gluth. Eventuating into a wipe...

Never heard of that one b4.... although i guess it is possible..
Anyway, I PUG almost everything with my shaman... not sure what server you guys are on but I have rarely met one of these <>tards. Maybe I just don't notice them because I'm trying to keep everyone alive.
I'll make an exception for a rogue/hunter duo in CoS. I as a resto shaman was doing more dps then both of them, while I was healing! Magma totem ftw... not sure how a rogue and a hunter can only do around 400dps each....

I've played with a few good hunters, really good hunters. Hunters that knew their stuff well, how to chaintrap, how to md even (seems it's not for everyone, go figure). Then again, I've also played with a few really crappy ones.
But here's the kicker. It's the same with other classes! Yeah! It really is, it's the same! Funny, huh?

Can you SERIOUSLY say that its a coincidence that he is a hunter?
