I got a better idea: Why don't we just adopt the leaf as national currency? We'll all be filthy rich!
Course, that might lead to severe deforestation in order to reduce inflation...
Wouldn't produce incredible ammounts of paper-money do that as well?
Bye Bye Elwynn.
But this way, we don't even have to print the money! We just pluck it from trees!

Didn't anyone ever tell you that money doesn't grow on trees?

Laihendi, what you are suggesting won't work because most persons want to be rich and perhaps richer than other people. There will be always someone who wants this.
So for example the baker will sell his bread for $300,000,000 or something instead of the older price, $3.
That's what
happened
to Germany 85 years ago. The state was massively increasing the money currency and so the prices went up high.
And of course, the world does not have one currency, but more, much more: the Euro, the Dollar, the Pound just to count a few of them. For example, if the US now has doubled (by printing, etc) their money currency, it means that it's now half worth compared to other currencies.
Say, $1 = 1€ . So now, the US doubles the amount of money they have, $1 is now worth 0.50€. Or vice versa: $2 are worth 1€.

Laihendi thinks that the government should market new action figures based on the hit Barbie and Ken dolls. This would open up the trend to a larger audience (young boys will start using them), and all in all it would help to stimulate the economy by providing new jobs in factories and also by getting people to spend more (who wouldn't want a Barbie and Ken action figure?). Someone could also start making a Barbiemobile. It would be pink to add a delicate touch, but would still be a very intimidating and impressive vehicle. It would be a good way to get the homeless back to work so they can make some money again!
There, the world economy is restored and now even the homeless are billionaires, effectively ending poverty. You're welcome :)
Hey, didn't the Russians do the exact same thing?
Are you a Communist?
it'll work like it did in Africa!
OH. MY. GOD.
Brilliant! Send this to Obama.
These are very interesting responses... Laihendi was not aware Africa and Russia already tried this. In fact, he wasn't even aware Barbie was popular in Africa >.>

I say we have a lot of nuclear weapons sitting across the country. Let's put them to good use. You know that place full of Diamonds in Africa? Make it look like an accident. =D
/sigh
Barbie and Ken would not approve.

Laihendi has this idea to get the US economy booming again. There are many millions of old pokemon cards laying around gathering dust in the US. Why not collect them and sell them? The original first edition charizards were worth $100+ back in the day, and now would be worth WAY more. And that's only the beginning. Selling old pokemon cards would generate billions of dollars for the US economy. Heck, even the homeless are bound to have pokemon cards :P

I'd guess yes.
But if I sold all my old Pokemon cards, then I wouldn't have any!:(
