Overcompensating Chain of the Alpha Male
- this might just be my favorite thing ever.
Oh god lol!
Trollfucious has seen many of such chains on the denizens of South Jersey. Trollfucious has often wondered how such chains were meant to play into the South Jersey mating ritual. He thinks that they are meant to sparkle like a disco thing, and so to draw females' eyes away from imperfections like guts, and bald spots and clothes that are made of windbreaker material and make the male go swoosh swoosh when he walks, which is not a very masculine sound.
Trollfucious thinks that the second purpose of the chain is to maybe be like bait. When you catch a fish you use worms or shiny things that look like things they want to eat, and then they swim up and don't know that the hook is not something they want to put in their mouth, and so they get tricked. These chains looks like something that the women want to wear- like good jewelry- so they swim up and don't know that the male is not something they want to put....Trollfucious forgets where this analogy was going. Trollfucious thinks that these chains look about as close to nice jewelry as the bright neon green lures with feathers on them look like little fish, but for some reason this still works.
Trollfucious also thinks that maybe these chains are meant to be intimidating to other males, as some kind of defense mechanism. Many of these could be used to bludgeon a rival to death on the boardwalk or outside the club, and prove the wearer's prowess in combat to impress the women.
Trollfucious does not have a chain, and so cannot participate in these rituals.

The Elder Scrolls Online is looking good. They seem to be going into an open beta at the end of the month.

I am no too hopeful. My interest in seeing if it is any good is outweighed by my worry that this will either halt or delay future Elder Scrolls games in the style of Skyrim.

Well from what I read, there will be a lot of things to do. After getting your character through your regions quest, you can go to other regions and do theirs. All while they scale to your level. And after you hit level 50, you abilities and weapons still grow in how they work.
This
is the vid I watched where they talked to Maria Aliprando about creature combat.
She also talks about other things as well. Something they talked about is combat synergy, something other games probably have. The example they gave was a warrior using an oil spill to slow enemies down, and adding in a fire mage to light it on fire. And not only do players have it, but so do enemies. They mentioned how if attack buy a pack of wolves, one of them will try to hold you down while the others attack. Or they might call for more to come fight.
Here
is the ESO site where they talk about the different alliances as well as the main story.

So one of the DS games I ordered, Mario Kart DS, turned out to be counterfeit, so I filed a claim and got a refund. Can anyone help me justify asking my dad to spend 13$ more on Kingdom Hearts 3d, rather than a couple extra for the same game (or a similar priced one) as before?

Just be like "Dad, I want this one instead. I won't eat for a week to justify the increase in cost."

o_O I go to sleep and you go for 5 pages? Sometimes I get the feeling that you only like to talk when I'm not around.
And as for that show being the best one written, I haven't seen it, but I'm hesitant to knock Dexter and Legend of Korra from that spot. I hardly watch TV anymore, but those shows are, for me, the best.
Season 4 of Dexter and season 4 of breaking Bad might be tied as the best TV ever written. The problem i Dexter wen't down hill since then.

I'm pretty interested in ESO. It's an interesting world and I played Skyrim wanting my friends to be there too. The impression I got was that ESO has been in development for a long time before anyone even knew about it so it also, presumably, overlapped pretty heavily with Skyrim dev. In theory, if it's all handled well, the only reason to delay one or the other would be just so they don't cannibalise their own playerbase too much with one release over the other and I don't necessarily think that a new single player game is so close on the horizon that that's an issue.

There were rumors of ESO when people found a domain name a year before they even announced Skyrim. I've been a fan of Elder Scrolls since Morrowind and can't wait to explore the new areas and revisit the old ones.

I got pulled over this morning on my way to work. That was, quite simply, the most polite police officer I've ever met. I wasn't doing anything wrong, just had a defect with my car that I knew about and was working on fixing.
I was respectful, she was respectful. More than I can say about many encounters I've had with police.

I just had a run in with the cops the other day. A friend brought a BB gun into my car, and was waving it around, despite me telling him several times to put the damn thing away. At an intersection he pointed it at a car that was refusing to go at the green light.
Well turns out the couple in that car were an FBI agent and a federal marshal, who both had guns, and they had a 3 month old baby in the back seat. Set aside the fact that we could have both been shot because of this idiot, we got a call later and had to go down to the police station. If they had charged us I would have gotten kicked out of college and his military career would have been over. Because it was a pellet gun they would up dropping things, but I still had not been that freaked out/pissed in a long time.
Never hanging out with that idiot again...

This is my chief concern as well.
Look at Warcraft, it was the CORNERSTONE of Strategy games a long time ago, then blizz did World of Warcraft. It proved to be a smashing hit, and as a result, Warcraft 4 was delayed, and delayed, and delayed, and eventually, they simply said there would never be a warcraft 4. Not only it affected the warcraft franchise, we also never saw a sequel to Starcraft or Diablo for nearly a decade too because everything blizzard had, was poured into WoW.
Look at KOTOR, a fantastic game, KOTOR 3 was more or less murdered by SWTOR. We will never see a return to single-player for the old republic franchise.
So I'm really concerned that they shift the focus of the Elder Scrolls from a single-player experience, into yet another MMO. I'm really hoping that Elder Scrolls 6 isn't affected in quality, or time by ESO.
As it stands my only interest in playing ESO is to indulge in my explorer side. We've never been able to see the entire land of tamriel before. So being able to explore all provinces should prove to be a fascinating experience. Specially seeing familiar places like Skyrim, Cyrodiil, and Morrowind in a new light.

Well that's a bit extreme ;) But i managed to get it for 7$ more, due to luck (Someone very recently posted one for 19.99, and it was NEW too!) and signing up for the free 30 day Amazon prime trial, which cut off 5$ in shipping. So now I'll be getting it by Thursday, and a lot cheaper than if I'd bought it used, and it comes with all the doohickeys that a new game comes with.

Ooh, and Bioshock Infinite comes out in a week.
Not sure if I should pre-order and get all the goodies or just rent it.

I didn't know he was pointing it at anybody until it was too late. but yes, he is extraordinarily stupid, and I'm surprised they let him carry a real weapon at his job every day.

No kidding. Waving a gun around, loaded or not, pellet or not, is simply irresponsible, immature, dangerous, and STUPID beyond belief.
Also Ryja, that was one damned steak of bad luck :P out of all the people he could had pointed the gun at, he had to do so at a federal marshal, and an FBI agent, both fully armed xD. If I was you, I'd stay clear of that guy, he seems to have a haunt following him.

Dude you don't know the half of it. There was a bolo put out on the car in a neighboring town, which is an extremely violent area, where a six year old girl was shot in the leg in a drive by a few days ago (I didn't find out about this until after). All the cops in this extremely violent area are pissed and looking for the guy who did it. If my Dad hadn't gotten a call from one of his cop buddies and told us to come down to the station, I don't even wanna think about how many dogs and guns we would have had pointed at my car if we got pulled over.
I'm almost as mad at myself for letting this idiot in my car with the gun, toy or not, guns and cars don't mix and I'm stupid enough for not realizing this the second he pulled the damn thing out.
