28 people die and the first thing you people do is start arguing. This is why I hate debate around here. You're disgusting.
Pretty much.
I'd like to know what the children's names are, and adult victims. I think it's important that their names are known. I'd want me name to be known if I were in that. I'd want to be remembered.
And, oh, the Boston Massacre wasn't really a "massacre", but the press wasted no time using that to their political advantage to stoke anti-Loyalist sentiment. It seems that death has been exploited for political gain for some time. In fact, I think I remember Caesar Augustus using Julius Caesar's death to gain traction against his detractors, albeit somewhat after Julius' death.

Aye.
Honestly, I am against guns in general. Worst events (caused by humans) of human history happened after invention of guns and explosives (Like WW 1 and 2, Hiroshima). Guns appeal to violent nature of human beings, we cannot change nature of whole species, we should get rid of tools enabling them.
I'd have to disagree there Boron; people were killing themselves in large numbers long before black powder became a 'vital' component of every day life.

I feel opposite. Events like that should stir up discussion, debate, ideas and actions. Condolences won't prevent same thing in the future.
And there will be a time to fight over whether an event warrants more gun control laws. But, between a massacre and a fight over the implications of that massacre, there should be a moment where people are empathetic toward the victims of that event, more than they are eager for a political change.

Sadly though, the way human beings are wired, it's always about what is best for them, be it a happy event or a horrific one.
Now we just do it faster. And sometimes we don't even need to see victims to do kill them. And that is disturbing.
That's existed before though; any type of long range siege weaponry or those who practiced the earliest form of poisoning(IE sending in the rats or poisoning wells/water courses); yes missiles and guns make it 'easier' now, but it's always been about the human race and just how ape!@#$ insane we are. Even the Bible references that, with four people on the planet, someone still ended up killing someone else for a sad reason.

On a different note, I was talking to my boyfriend about dinner and heard this song on a commercial. I stopped mid-sentence and rewound the TV back to the beginning of it.
The song was the song my good friend wrote 2 months before he killed himself. I mean, it wasn't the exact song, but the main theme was exactly.the.same. I contacted the company who's commercial it was to see where they got the song. I don't expect an answer.
My friend wrote 7 variations of the same song before he finalized it. I have a copy of every single one on my iPod. I'd even recognize it if i were deaf.

Suck it, LoL.
I hate the rivalry in general. I also dislike people who try to force it.
Seriously. It's nearly as bad as the consoles vs PC argument that's age-old. Let's just get along.
