Ok, so at first I just brushed it off as just another "Wow-killer" wanna-be, but now, I'm severely considering joining Guild Wars 2.
First I just brushed it off, because I saw the words "NCSoft" as the game company behind it. The Genius who managed to make the first MMO I really got into it and enjoyed perhaps far more than I should have (Lineage II) and then managed to completely RUIN it. And who then made Aion, a very promising title, which ended up being Lineage+wings.
But now, after doing some dig up, and actually seeing some of the features (Ok reading the features I haven't actually played the game, or seen gameplay footage) I'm honestly intrigued.
Holy Trinity = None, there are no tanks, and no healers. First thought was: Crazy. Yet somehow it manages to work.
Quests = Gone. This one is the most intriguing of them all, rather than go to an NPC grab a quest, and complete the objectives to get a reward, they use a very complex, ambitious, and scripted Dynamic Event System to level up your toon, it seems very solid, and the one example provided sounded pretty nice.
Raids = Gone. Yep, all the PVE content is done with a max of 5 players. Unsure how to feel about that, but it does seems intriguing.
Combat = Dynamic instead of static. Wanna dodge that hit? move out of the way, rather than rely on a fixed % of dodge to do the job for you.
The graphics aren't bad to look at, and the races/classes seem fun, and varied (Looking at you SWTOR. You may be a fun game, but ALL of your races look way too similar, ditto for the classes)
And it has no subscription, which means I'd only have to fork over the money to get the game and nothing else.
At the very least it merits checking out. When I get my next vacation bonus next year I think I'll be getting that game. I am intrigued. (plus it gives a year to iron out the bugs, and let the hype die down. I would hate to see how the servers are gonna be on launch day)

I picked up DDO to mess around and I found that I liked it a lot. Getting to play actual DnD classes that do what they're meant to (Rogues disarming traps, Bards buffing) was a lot more fun than spamming Mutilate. On top of that, the puzzles in dungeons were refreshing to solve.
A friend then told me that GW2 kinda plays like that so I've been looking into it as well.

Third book is the best. Fourth is meh, but I really enjoyed the fifth.

The third book is the best, the fifth is probably the slowest though. Dany needs an actual plot. And there was no Sansa which is terrible.

I loved all of them except the first cause I had watched the first season before it and they're identical.
You watched the show first?Well in the end I want Targaryens to sit at the Iron Throne again, I like Stannis, he is too grim but because of that I believe he will get killed (he even mentioned in 6th book, in case he dies in the upcoming battle against Boltons, his daughter to take his seat)
Targaryens are cool, won't deny. I'm not particularly rooting for Dany, though.
E: And there was no Sansa which is terrible.
No, that's a good thing.

So in other news I'm listening to Caius' theme on repeat and blogging and reading fanfiction and crying because Broh is perfect and will probably never be canon.
I regret nothing
