[Bug] Ads causing IE7 to crash?

Sometimes, usually when browsing the forums, IE7 locks up completely while Waiting for
http://static.wowhead.com/ads/dynamic/medrect.html
...
I don't know if it happens for other people, nor if it's related to a specific ad. The only thing I know is that it has happened several times
lately
at this exact stage of the page loading process. The browser needs to be shut down through task manager to get out of it.
Of course, it might just be happening with me, so I'm posting this mainly to see if others are having the same issue.
Keep all comments about what browsers to use and not to use out of this thread.

Happens to me every once in a while too. Not just on wowhead.
I've also had it crash when trying to type in a url, I would put in 2 characters and it would crash.
Seems to be fine today... waits for it to crash...

Let me know if this happens again? I'm not seeing any problems here but I don't know how else to check.

I'm also having this problem, had it for a quite a while, but thought it was only me.
Using IE7 (7.0.6001.18000) on Vista Ultimate (all up to date).
Only thing I see in the status bar is the same thing Smaragd posted in the first post, "Waiting for..." and then IE just hangs. Have tried to let it sort it out on its own, but after a couple of hours (the longest I have tried waiting) I just killed it from "Task Manager", but I usually just kill it right away.
I'm not having this problem on any other site, but then again at least 80% off my webpage browsing is done here on Wowhead.

I have not personally had the problem for 2 days or so, but that doesn't mean it's gone. It might be related to a spesific rare ad in this case. I don't know when KristianG's last experience of this happened.

I think this is an infinite loop in our ad server somewhere—that's why Firefox isn't crashing, Firefox will automatically stop an infinite loop if it goes on for too long, while IE will just hang. I'll see what I can find.

It happened again just now.
Here's a screenshot if that helps:

(171 kB)
In addition, it wasn't using (notable) more RAM or CPU power than usual while that screenshot was taken, but I did not monitor it
while
it crashed.

I've seen something like this happen too. Reported, we should see a resolution soon.

A little update. It happend to me right now, just a few minutes ago. This time it was another ad-spot that caused IE to hang/crash.
Waiting for
http://static.wowhead.com/ads/dynamic/skyscraper.html
...
Guessing that all ad-spots are using the same code base, so this msg is no different to the msg posted by Smaragd.

Correct. I thought we had this one licked but I'll look into it again. Let me know if it continues to happen.
