Is this an issue only in H UK?
If so, my guess is...
There are mobs early on in that instance that leave explosives on the ground that do several thousand damage if you're standing on them when they go off. Just make sure to kite away from the bright flashy thing on the ground and you'll be fine.

looking at your armory i would say that you should be good for H-VH, if your still not confident why don't you ask your guild or some friends to come with you. sometimes all you need is a good run with people u know to get the spring back in your step. trust me i know lol =)

Besides what Dunsinane said, the first part of the instance also holds mobs that can stun. If you pull more than 1 pack and they get lucky with their timing, your HP can drop pretty fast as you can't avoid or mitigate.

Good point. I'd completely forgotten about those guys. Throw in the dragon breaths, and the whole first half of the instance can be spiky.
Thinking to the other "early" heroics...
VH - not much in the way of trash troubles. There's one type of mob with a knockback which is mildly annoying. If the dps knows to stay further away from the portals than you until they see the mobs standing in the consecrate, you shouldn't have any difficulty on the waves. Some of the bosses can be tough if you aren't ready for them - the void, the water elemental, and the ethereal.
Nexus - the trash leading to Telestra can be annoying. Stewards silence and there is a lot of magic/aoe damage. If your healer is undergeared or inexperienced, CC is a good idea. Watch the ground for traps, as the mage hunters will drop them. Berserkers knockback, so pull them away from the rest of the trash to avoid getting adds. Enforcers cleave, so face them away from people.
