Say I attack a mob.
The mob parries my attack and his swing timer gets reduced by an amount for its next attack, I get that.
But what if my friend also attack the same mob, I'm still having aggro on the mob and it is hitting on me, but this time the mob parries my friends attack and not mine.
Will the mobs swing timer still get reduced, resulting in it hitting me faster, even though it wasn't my attack that was parried?

Yes, who generated the parry is irrelevant.
This is one reason why all the melee dps should always be behind the boss and not in front.
The other reason ofcourse is that a boss can't parry from behind and thus the melee dps will do more damage.
