I opened my web browser this morning (Google Chrome) and it's got a solid black bar across the bottom, that was never there before... anyone else use Chrome and see this?

For you and most people.
FF is the slowest after IE. Opera and Chrome being the fastest and more eficient memory-wise

Since OP seems to have resolved his issue, I don't feel bad about saying..
Firefox ftw.
I used Chrome for a little while. Why don't I use it any more? I can't scroll down a page with my mouse wheel. Even the cavemen had browsers that could do that, but Google decided to skip on that one for some unknown reason. Aside from that one thing, I have no problem with Chrome whatsoever.

Must be you, I had chrome on 3-4 different computers and had no trouble scrolling with the mouse wheel.
I did have some trouble with chrome, which I can't recall at the moment, however, it was resolved with a simple reinstall.

I've been unable to do it on my home PC, as well as multiple different ones at my school.
Maybe Google just doesn't want San Diegans to scroll :(
Let me give 'er a reinstall and see if it feels like working this time..
edit: Nope.

I know it's not with chrome because I'm typing this on Chrome.
And I can scroll with my mouse.
